Since the opening audial assault of Thrill Seeker‘s “Your Little Suburbia is in Ruins,” Matt Greiner’s polymathic percussion has remained a staple of August Burns Red’s prismatic, post-hardcore presence, weaving metalcore-inspired melodies and unrelenting ferocity with wide-reaching sonic nuance and ceaseless technical precision. With Matt’s aural veracity requiring such dedicated articulation, it’s only natural his ingenuity would make waves in the world of musical instruments. The end results? A signature set of Vic Firth drumsticks and the Zildjian FX Blast Bell, the latter of which was co-developed and designed by Matt Greiner and Ziljdian, becoming a sonic cornerstone amidst the kits of myriad heavy-hitting drummers.
