Sweetwater Environmental
& Social Responsibility

Our pledge to our customers, our employees, and our world.
It’s all about doing the right thing. It’s what we’ve said from day one and what we strive to do every single day. With every interaction, we work hard to have a positive impact on our industry — whether it's with our customers or coworkers or how we treat our world. It’s how we choose to do business.

Doing the right thing for our . . .

Diversity
& Inclusion

We absolutely, unequivocally believe in treating every person fairly and with respect.

We come from all walks of life, but we are unified by our passion for music and helping people. We believe it’s our differences that make us stronger. That’s why we actively recruit for an even more diverse workforce. It’s why we offer ongoing diversity-training opportunities. And it’s why we track equal pay measures throughout our company. Because it’s the right thing to do.
Women In Audio
We partner with initiatives like Women's Audio Mission, Beats by Girlz, and Fort Wayne's United Front and actively recruit from historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Health
& Wellness

Social Health Group fitness classes, open-mic jams, and special events are great ways for employees to connect with others at Sweetwater.

Our strong, positive culture starts with the care we offer to our employees.

Here at Sweetwater, we enjoy the sweet life. If you stop by campus, just take a look around — there’s a free health clinic, a fitness center, an in-house counselor, career coaches, development opportunities, expansive benefits, and so much more. It’s all provided in a safe, comfortable workspace. We do our best because we know we’ll have a great experience at work every single day.

Supply Chain
Responsibility

Our standards are high, and we work hard to ensure all our vendors are equally committed to corporate responsibility.

We’re committed to only work with the companies that share our passion for people and our world. When we say we always do the right thing, we mean it. And that includes everyone we work with in the music industry, shipping, manufacturing, and beyond.

In addition to our extensive local efforts, we are proud to partner with Music Will — a nationwide nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives by restoring, expanding, and innovating music education.

Fort Wayne is our home, and we are committed to keeping it thriving and vibrant.

At Sweetwater, you’ll find nonprofit board members, volunteers, and community leaders at every level of every department. We are all encouraged to make a positive impact on the Sweetwater campus and beyond. Doing the right thing is as simple as signing up for our next big volunteer opportunity. We support important local initiatives — like music education programs in area school districts, the Unity Performing Arts Foundation, Fort Wayne United Front, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne — as well as national organizations like Music Will.

Our Commitment
To Sustainability

From reducing all possible shipping waste to building a sustainable campus, our commitment to the environment is rooted in founder Chuck Surack’s childhood experiences in Boy Scouts. When we come to work, we know we’re doing everything we can to make sure we’re leaving our world better than how we found it.

Our Sustainable Campus and Operations

We’ve designed the Sweetwater campus and our operations to be as environmentally responsible as possible.
Constructed from rapidly renewable and recycled materials for reduced waste and environmental impact
Recycled 98% of materials from previous on-site buildings to reduce new material consumption
Shipping packaging is made from environmentally friendly recycled materials
Using minimal shipping materials while ensuring the safety of each order reduces waste

Our Sweetest Certification

The Sweetwater campus headquarters in Fort Wayne was one of the first 200 buildings in the entire world to become LEED Platinum Certified by the United States Green Building Council following its initial construction. LEED Platinum Certification is earned by demonstrating the highest level of commitment to environmental sustainability and occupant comfort. Our subsequent additions and renovations to the original building continue to implement environmentally friendly methods and practices.

We do all this because it is the right thing to do, but we hope to inspire and encourage others to take action for our world and for the future.
