This stand is quite sturdy and works well for what I need. It's not quite rock-solid, but close. The arms are wide enough for bigger keyboards. The only issue is if you have a narrower keyboard, you have sit it at a particular spot because the foam is in two pieces rather than just a single piece on the entire arm. I actually bought some 2mm thick foam to bridge the gap when I was using it for my Yamaha keyboard. That's no longer an issue with the new red beauty I have.

I think they should have made the brackets on the crossbar longer where it joins up to the sides, it would have made it even more solid, since there's only the single crossbar. Don't get me wrong, it's way sturdier than an X-stand could ever hope to be, given that gravity and physics are constantly working against you with those things.

The square tubing made it easy to mount a surge protector power strip on the side bracket (with double sided tape) to make it convenient for turning my keyboard and speaker on and off with one switch within arms reach.

No idea what it would be like for gigging if you're constantly breaking it down and setting it up again. You just need to remove the crossbar to give you three chunks for transport. I just wonder if it would start to wear at the bolts on each end of the crossbar with repeated tightening, loosening, retightening...

This is a really nice, well-made and sturdy stand. Purchased it to use with the On-Stage KSA8500 Deluxe Keyboard Tier, however, despite the Deluxe Tier's description that it is "...compatible with...On-Stage Z stands", the two are not. The adapters that come with the Deluxe Tier do not fit the square tubing of the KS1355 stand. I contacted my Sales Engineer, Cliff Hackleman, and he quickly arranged a return and exchange for the On-Stage KS7350 Heavy-duty Folding Z Keyboard stand. As usual, Sweetwater made sure I was a satisfied, well-treated customer.

It works. It fits. Sweetwater is great.

The stand is easily adjustable to width and height. Easy to assemble. No apparent wobble, once keyboard is added. Our keyboard is the the Yamaha P-45.

I bought this stand for my wife, who's been a professional keyboard player for over 60 years. These days it's a sit down job for her, and the stand she had was a little shaky, and the keyboard had a tendency to want to move around when she didn't want it too..... Great Christmas present! This stand is solid as a Rock, holds the keyboard in place, and she loves it. We're both playing in the pit orchestra for a high school musical, and I swear she seems to me 10 years younger since she got this stand. I have to give some credit to My rep Charlie Davis, and the Sweetwater organization. I ordered the stand late, and didn't expect it until after Christmas, but it made it the day before...way to go.
