Plexi meets the Demeter TGA-3, Heavy STP style tones
I was on a search to find a specific heavy guitar tone when I found that Dean Deleo of STP takes this preamp system on fly gigs, so I gave it a try.
OH MY DANG!!! This thing can go from plexi crunch to harmonic shred!!! I used to have a Demeter TGA-3 which is a very specific tone and distortion and the Deliverance reminds me a lot of that tone. The Blue Channel is solid with more than enough heavy gain, the Red Channel just takes it another level. Check out the Pete Thorn Demo, he really does a great job showing it off and was a big reason I bought this Preamp. I have this module now pared with the TDLX for cleaner and Tweed Tones in a Dual Channel Synergy rack and now I can handle any gig.
Next is the 800 module for some brown tones in the studio :)
Build Quality: Great, knobs are close and I wish there was a separate EQ for the Red and Blue Channels (like on the VH4 module), but you can set the presence and shape to just the red channel, but I like those on the Blue Channel for rhythm....that's my only fuss which is really nothing as I have so much. in this small package!!!
*** And if I ge bored I can just swap it for another pre amp, no more buying and selling big amps, just buying lots of preamps - ha ha

This is probably the best module with a range of clean to high gain....
At this point having as many as 8 modules in my collection this one is my fav so far. You have the learn how to adjust the two gains and EQ to tweak in the best clean and high gain, but it all sounds great, has great feel and a pleasing gain and clean structure. Everything you could want in a Marshall but much better. Fryette has done a marvelous job on this puppy. Personally my more fav modules have a good clean channel and a high gain combination this one kills it. Also thunderous low end but not muddy. Fryette's genius is apparent here with his mod to include the Deliverance Presence and Depth into the preamp module and it works really well. He also invented the SAG control on the docks which is also genius to add that element of power supply sag effect. He also uses one Cathode setting for the clean and another for the high gain channel so you never have to switch anything or optimize it. Most have not considered the clean channels might be more served to have a different cathode setting than the high gains which makes sense. Fryette nailed that idea. I think it's best module. I like many others but this one will be my core go to and the BB/BE love the clean channel on that one. If you turn gain II down and use gain I you can get the clean channel to really come alive and EQ it sounds quite good.

Absolute game changer
If I was going to mod a JCM 800 this module is what I would want it to sound like. It sounds like a pushed iff JCM 800. And has more tight low end than any other amp I have through to date.

Multi Lineage Module!
This is my new "go to"! The first gain stage is very punchy and muscular, JCM800'ish, but with more gain. The second stage is squishier and more Plexi-like. You can then blend the two and dial in something new. Of the Synergy modules, many love the SLO, myself included. This is a nice contrast as it is more mid forward, while still sounding modern. This module also cleans up nicely, so if you only had room for one module, you could have both clean and heavy switchable channels. I should also note, this guy is very easy to dial in. I had the Fryette Pitbull module, and it sounded great, but I had a hard time dialing in my preferred sweet spot. This was the opposite... it was hard to find a tone I didn't like. I highly recommend Synergy. I can use the Deliverance for tight rhythm tracks, and then swap to the Diezel VH4 module for a great solo lead tone or thickener tracks. Certainly, there is an initial cost to get a Synergy head or rack, but after that, a new tube amp is less than the cost of two boutique pedals!

For Modded Marshall Maniacs
If you want a cross between a Marshall Super Lead and hot rodded JCM800 this is it. The two gain controls work on different frequencies like the Super Lead. Gain I is more high end to low midrange focus when cranked (not just pure high end like a Super Lead). Gain II is more full and balanced. Between the two you can get A LOT of flavors. From Glassy British Chime to all out aggressive boosted JCM type of tones. Boost control really helps as you can set the Gain controls to be a little leaner in the frequencies but keep the gain up for hard rock / metal.

Not really Death Metal, but close if you want. Doesn't have that German midrange aggressiveness which I like. I'm not a fan of Diezel, Engl, etc.

Added extra Presence control and Depth which adds a lot of low end "breath". Too much for a small combo though. I usually have it off but works great when running Channel One / Blue clean. Brings back some low end that is lost at lower gain. Fender low end.
