I was getting a bit frustrated with my mixes because they are starting to not sound modern. One of the things I was missing layered sequencing but didn't have the time to learn and mess around with programming midi sequencing. SIGNAL solved my problem. I love this thing and have gotten a couple of add on packs. IT syncs with my DAW (Presonus Studio One 3) so the timing is always perfect (with a little midi tweaking but not major editing). Its also good for songwriting/composing inspiration. There are a lot of moods and feels you can get by just messing around with presets. The Reason I didn't give it a perfect 5 is two things: 1) You have to get NI Kontakt player and hassle with all kinds of downloads and crazy technical hoops. There is the Native Instruments account set up and download stuff and then the SIGNAL Hub account setup and download tool. Its a lot of data so you have to plan out the locations followed by excessive download times. Then getting the thing to pull up into the plug in and optimizing the libraries is confusing. Once I got everything working I felt pretty accomplished! 2) This thing is very CPU intensive. If you use a lot of plug ins or you don't have a killer CPU it will knock out your sessions. I have to convert or record the sounds to audio tracks fairly early in the tracking process. Other than those two items I am very happy with this purchase.

I"m working on a project and needed some software that could give me a good dance/edm/pop/rap vibe and this is great! It"s so user friendly and fun to use. You can get really advanced with the software and create your own sounds for those who are more advanced. I"d recommend it for sure! Very high quality sounds

Finally music plugin is catching up. Moreover the advanced stuff is available without breaking the bank.

It's everything advertised. I keep finding new ways to use it. This is one of the slickest pieces I've ever seen. It's Great to finally see software evolving like it should have been before now.

The software by itself is not bad. If you can download it. After purchase they send you to Output Hub, where download speed measured in Kb (I have 100 Mbps speed internet). Download of 20 GB may take you a day. There is more. During download there may pop up a message "your session expired" and you have to do it all over again. May take you few days. It used to be different, but apparently right now it serviced in China or India.
When downloaded it crashes Kontakt player quite often, that why you have to reinstall it once in a while.
I have nearly 2 dozens plugins installed on Kontakt player and Output are the only ones that crashes.

There are two points to applaud. These days VST Instruments can be a large task to download and learn how to use. This product is EASY to use, and sounds great! There are several on-line tutorials nicely done. This package is also very versatile. Your wildest imaginations can be sourced from aggressive sounds, to peaceful and everything in-between. You can tweak into oblivion!

Well worth the money if your into bumping into projects inspires by a preset. However, you will need a lot of processing power to open 2 Signal instruments into one project, you easily get over-runs. I may not know the best way to do that using KONTACT but it eats a lot of CPU-age. The sounds available are totally tweakable and well developed. I still haven't heard it being used in music yet or heard anything like it period. Very fun... Can't wait for future updates.

I never played a virtual instrument that exceeded my wishful expectations, always let down one way or another, until I played Signal. It's very warm and musical, the sounds and layout are not stuck in past decades, they are fresh off the tree, intriguing to the ears, easy to manipulate. If your going to blow $200 on a VI, seriously consider this.

I am indeed "blown away" as is the description of a five star rating at Sweetwater and SIGNAL is only the second product I've bestowed this rating on. I expected quite a lot from SIGNAL from all the hype out there in cyberspace and after a few short hours of experimenting with SIGNAL it has far exceeded those lofty expectations. The quality of the samples are exceptional, the GUI is masterfully done, and the concept is not only ground breaking but extremely useful as well. SIGNAL provides an intuitive and comprehensive tool for all the things that can be done to sounds: combining, arpeggiating, looping, slicing, adding effects, and so on. The magical way that it synchronizes the impulses to the project is awesome, the browsing tools are stellar and the presets are incredible. I really cannot find anything I don't like about it. This product truly raises the bar for all, not just plug-in, music creation tools. Buy it.

Nothing out there like it. (Arpology is similar but they are 2 different monsters, well worth having both!!)

The depth of this product is amazing! It is easy to use, and the sounds you can create are only limited by your imagination...highly recommended. I would have given it 5 stars if it didn't have to run in Kontakt.

I can really only say good things about Signal, I have REV and SIGNAL and they have both become an immediate component in my production arsenal. If you want high quality and a GUI that is fluid and inspiring, check it out!
