Long needed addition

By Dave -. from Taylors Falls, MN

Bought a new Vox AC30 Hand-wired head in 2016 which, in that time period, did not include reverb, tremolo, or an effects loop built into it because it was a reissue of the 1959 design. It's a great amp but this RV6 reverb pedal is an easy addition to enhance the fun and sound. All my other amps have reverb built-in, except my Marshall JVM410HJS head, which does have an effects loop. So, getting around to a reverb solution for the AC30 was slow to come (a decade). Love Boss products because they sound good, are relatively indestructible and the typical failure points I have run across after decades of use (LED fail or stomp switch fail) are easily fixed by inexpensive, readily available parts and a soldering iron.

Does what it’s needs to do

By Dan S. from Queens, NU
Music Background: Guitar and banjo

There are a few fun features, if not terribly practical. But the reverb itself is excellent. I had a chance to play the MXR reverb, which is more expensive. I actually preferred the sound of the boss over the MXR.

Great reverb for bass!

By Matt B. from BROOKSVILLE, FL
Music Background: Hobbyist

I recently purchased the RV-6 for use on bass after YouTube window-shopping much more expensive options for several months and it is fantastic. No issues with low-end loss or muddiness in my experience and it has a really nice variety of settings that can each be configured fairly widely. I often use it with a delay and it shines with that accompaniment.

BOSS RV-6 IS THE BEST BY FAR

By DK from Los Angeles
Music Background: Professional-Studio, “Live” and Touring.

Musicians and Sound Techs constantly tell me what I already know - This unit rocks.
I have (2) pedal boards and the BOSS RV-6 is the last in the chain on both of them.
I mostly go direct, so it's great to have a high quality reverb unit.
I HEARTILY ENDORSE THIS PEDAL!

I was surprised by this one...

By Troy M. from Fort Wayne
Music Background: Still learning, always learning

Spend money for a reverb pedal? The amp has reverb, right? This is what I thought the first time I saw one of these. Then like someone that must have thought they had money to burn I watched a video review of this thing. 8 different modes. The Room, Hall, and +Delay are all excellent (none of them are bad). The shimmer mode is incredible with a clean tone. Add a delay to it and it is even better. This exceeded my expectations to the point that I had to buy one. Highly recommended.

another home run from Boss

By Adam H. from Waldo, ME
Music Background: https://leadfootrocks.bandcamp.com/

The Boss RV6 is one of the best reverbs I've ever played. As soon as it arrived I shot it out between a TC Hall of Fame and a Strymon Flint, as well as a Strymon blue sky and some fancy UA plug ins. And the RV6 was the winner in both sound and feel everytime. It's taken over the last spot on my pedalboard permanently

Boss RV-6 Digital Reverb Pedal

By Sweetwater Customer
Music Background: Played and taught guitar for over 60 years

I use a Vox AC15 with its spring reverb which is good but for some arrangements I need a stronger reverb. The Boss RV-6 Digital Reverb Pedal provides the extra reverb I was looking for. I also purchased the 9 volt power supply for it. I found batteries are good until they leak and then ruin whatever they are in.

The Boss Reverb RV-6

By Rick G. from Fresno
Music Background: Semiprofessional musician

Wow! as soon as I plugged in the Reverb RV-6 into my setup I knew I had a winner. The sound quality and reverb effects were unbelievable. I've had the unit for about a month, and I use it every time I play. It has 8 reverb modes and each one

has a distinct sound, it's almost like having 8 deferent reverb petals in one.

This petal has become a permanent addition to my petal board setup. I highly recommend the Boss Reverb RV-6 and for the price it's a winner.

Essential Seasoning

By Pete from Melbourne, FL

Salt. It's probably the most essential ingredient in everyone's favorite recipe. Add just the right amount of salt, it elevates your dish to your already-high standards. Forget the salt? The first thing out of everybody's mouth is, "Tastes ok, but... Needs Salt!". They know. It's ok, you did too. And using too much just leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Nowadays, wide varieties of salts are produced and marketed globally. So many salts to choose from! Pink Himalayan, Icelandic Sea, Hawaiian Black, Smoked, Flaked... the list goes on. And on! All of these are great flavor options as they take your meal in different directions, but they may not work for all of your recipes, all of the time. Me? I'm a regular old Table Salt kinda guy. Been around forever. Used daily by the best chefs in the world. It's the salt that's been featured in all of my favorite meals, and it's the same salt I continue to use ever since I learned how to... cook. I love it because it keeps all of my recipes consistent. Worry free. And because Table Salt is also available in Coarse, Medium, and Find grinds, with or without iodine, etc., I can use it for different culinary applications as needed while still keeping my basic flavor profiles intact. Which is, of course, the goal of every current or aspiring... chef.
So if you too are looking for that perfectly reliable Salt to be your essential recipe ingredient, pick this one up and I'm sure you will agree.
This salt is Boss.

Thanks, Sweetwater for letting me leave such a... saliferous review.

Simply put, I was looking for a quick and easily adjustable reverb. Doing a solo act and had been looking for a unit that I could adapt to the different acoustics of various places. With all the possibilities and variations this has, I no longer need to use my chorus pedal, or a delay. A great recommendation. Thanks again John McWhirter!

Not for me but I'm clearly in the minority

By RDGibson from Sacramento, CA
Music Background: Multi-Instrumentalist

Don't get me wrong, the RV-6 is fantastic. I simply can't seem to find a setting on the thing that truly feels like "me" in a manner that is... organic? It's not that I'm saying it comes off as fake-sounding. It simply doesn't gel with me the same way an actual spring reverb tank does. And realistically, that's okay. It's a pedal and not a reverb tank. I can't fully explain it otherwise. It absolutely gets the job done with a smorgasbord of options and styles to choose from. It's just not what I'm searching for. In fact, most reverb pedals in this price range seem to not be. And yet, I'm not enough of a reverb buff to expand my search into the higher end reverb pedals.

It's not you, Boss. It's me.

Overall, it really is a fine pedal and there's no shortage of positive reviews everywhere that'll say so.

Excellent Digital Reverb

By Sweetwater Customer from FL

I had formerly owned an RV-5, but had to part ways with it due to financial and storage issues. Recently decided I wanted another one, and times are a bit better, so I got this new version, the RV-6. Basically, this does what the RV-5 did while adding a delay function in place of the gated verb option that was frankly the previous pedals least useful option. Delay is definitely better. Given that my only delay was previously analog, it's nice to have the option to use a cleaner digital delay for those times when it's appropriate. As for the pure reverb settings, all of them sound like what they claim to sound like, and do what I need those particular reverb sounds to do. This doesn't have some of the more extreme reverb types seen nowadays, but the ones it offers are all generally useful. It's one you can leave on all show on your favorite setting, and it will improve your tone spatially without overpowering it. The delay setting is actually great for this if you have a small live board and don't want two separate pedals for delay and reverb. Put it on the delay setting, dial it in to a subtle, "tone sweetener" kind of setting, and go.
That said, it can go to extremes if you want with the options it makes available, so it's also a great studio pedal for those moments when you want to sound like you're really coming from some weird, distant place or are inside of some massive echo chamber.

It's my favorite general-purpose reverb, basically my old RV-5 but a bit better. I do like the crazier tones of some more extreme modern reverbs for recording, but I haven't found a better pedal for getting a good range of basic, old-school reverbs like plate or hall or spring or what-have-you. Unless you are playing shoegaze or noise rock, that's really what you're going to find you need most often, and this pedal does it.

Great reverb for half the price of a Big Sky.

By Mark from Seattle
Music Background: Hobbyist, blues, rock, worship.

This reverb delivers. It sounds great I even used it on some vocals when I had my SPX2000 and a Lexicon available. It's not too much but but still gives you the option of those long tailing reverbs if you like. Plus you can combine it with shimmer or chorus (which is where I use it most of the time). Built like a tank(like any boss pedal), perfect for a pedal board when you don't want to invest all your hard earned cash in a reverb but still have the option of getting those ambient sounds. I usually don't have it that wet but it still comes through with a beautiful clarity.

As good as anything out there and better than most.

By KC from NY
Music Background: guitarist

I've been through a ton of reverb pedals from basic stuff to the fancier boutique stuff.
The RV-6 is easily as good or better than anything out there.
It's easy to get lost in the sea of reverb pedal options available, but don't skip over this one due to lack of current hype. The Plate is amazing, easy VH type vibes, or more subtle. Hall has a nice pre-delay thing happening. Room really sounds like a room, especially when dialed in subtle. Spring actually drips and can easily handle surfy type tones. It's not an outboard spring unit level of awesome, but it's better at Spring than the majority of multi-algorithm reverb pedals out there. Modulated reverb is gorgeous for ambient type playing. The RV-6 really does everything and does it really well. Really no reason to look further. Don't overlook the advantage of having the ability to run on a battery. If you've got an amp without reverb and like to run straight in with no pedalboard, just stick the RV-6 on top of the amp in the loop or in front. No additional power supply needed.

Fake stereo out

By Sweetwater Customer

This pedal is great, it is easy to get some great sounds out of it. Be aware that if true stereo operation is important to you, this is NOT a stereo pedal. The two input signals are "summed to mono", they are stereo into a single channel, and then brought out in stereo. The signal is not stereo all the way through. Just know before you go.

Mostly good reverbs, but Hall is weak.

By Ron from California

I used to use the spring and modulation settings with my Strat and the effects loop of a tube amp. The pedal sounded good and worked fine. Lately, I've been using it with a nylon string while playing classical through a little practice amp. I'll probably find something else as I think the hall sound is a little boxy sounding. Also, pre-delay control would come in handy. I'm just not finding this lush and sweet enough to use for classical guitar, I'll probably just use it for rock/electronic guitar situations and get a UA Reverbator for my classical needs.

My first verb

By William from Eastern Shore
Music Background: Semi-pro

I had reverb in all my amps so far, (crate, fender, music man, rivera etc.) and its all been spring reverb. Well, got tired of it. So, for the price, i took the leap and bought this. Wow! This pedal can create space in your sound thats so natural sounding. I really like a room reverb. Adds a little punch to my sound. This does that in spades. If you dont have a delay pedal its got you covered with a simple delay that helps in a pinch. Theres even a secret setting on the shimmer mode. Set the tone knob BELOW 10 and the upper octave is removed leaving only the sub-octave. Sweet pad effect.

Overall, this pedal has a few features that make it very user friendly - stereo out, stereo in, expression pedal out and Dynamic mode. The depth of the verb is effected by how hard you attack the sting. Battery operation too, but this is a digital pedal so i only use it with a power supply.

As a first step into the digital reverb market. This is a very flexible, reliable, and feature-laden choice. I admit, i have moved on to more advanced reverbs, i still own (and use) this verb!!! I've gotten alot of milage out of the shimmer mode.

Great Reverb - Be Careful Using It With Distortion

By Eric F. from West Lafayette, Indiana

I enjoy the thick and very programmable sound of the RV-6; I bought it to make up for my Marshall DSL40CR's lack of ANY usable reverb. The RV-6 has several very authentic hall, plate and spring settings, as well as dynamic and shimmer. My favorite is the modulation mode, as it provides a lot of extra depth to chorus, phase and delay pedals and really fills out our three-man band sound.

The problem is, as all digital reverb pedals my bass player and I have tried, that they really get overblown when you turn up the distortion, so I have to calm it down to like 1.5 on the effect level. I play 70's-style daisy chain effects straight to the amp, so maybe an effects loop from the amp would solve this issue. (All the demos seems to having people playing clean - wonder why?) Still, with a little tinkering, you can get some really nice ambient sounds from the RV-6 and since it does have a level control, unlike many units in its price range, so you can actually compensate for the gain issue. It also has tone and reverb decay time knobs, which makes it even more flexible.

Of course, it is built well like all Boss pedals. (I really recommend their Waza Craft models.) Overall, I recommend the RV-6 as long as you can learn where you want it to work with the extra signal with high gain.

Boss Reverb

By B M. from SE Ohio
Music Background: 40 years guitaring

I have a few amps without reverb and wanted reverb so I bought this pedal. I generally run it through my Origin20h effects loop along with EQ and chorus. It is well built and you can dial in a nice variety of reverb effects. I don't play at really loud volumes and use an Ispot daisy chain. I don't notice any added noise. It draws 60mA from your power supply. So, this is a quiet, versatile, well built reverb at a fair price -I'm happy with my purchase.

pricey but versatile; sounds incredible

By Bobby

I spent a lot of time online comparing the RV6 with the HOF2 and Digitech Polara by watching Youtube demos. I eventually decided on the RV-6 because of its variety of sounds yet simple user friendly design. I play mostly blues, rock, alt rock, and country, so a pedal like the HOF2 seemed to be more than I really needed (I don't really do much ambient guitar stuff).

The sounds come out very natural. LOVE the Mod setting- beautiful chorus effect. The shimmer sounds great too, if you're into that kind of thing. The delay feature is overall pretty good, but I still like having a separate delay pedal. This pedal seems to take in overdrive pretty well so far (I run a Boss Fender Bassman pedal and Ibanez TS9 in front of it along the chain). I have only tried it through my Fender Pro Junior 15W - adds a small bit of hum but I don't notice it while playing. Anxious to try on other amps. Guitars - strat and tele - sounds good with both. Still experimenting with all of the knob combinations. Overall, a fantastic buy. Can't wait to gig with it!

A little "too digital"

By Chris P. from New York, NY
Music Background: Session/gigging

There's a weird "chirpy" sound on the tail end of the reverbs in the pedal. It's not as noticeable on the shimmer and modulate settings - those are full digital effects anyway but the standard reverbs have this tone to them that shouldn't be there. It's very subtle but once you notice it - it will drive you nuts. In a full band mix and live you won't notice it as much but I am mostly recording and when I hear it on an isolated track it's irritating. I might be overly critical but for me it fell just flat of what I wanted.

I do like that there is a delay on the pedal and the shimmer and modulate effects are very good. Also Boss makes some of the most solid pedals for the money so it might be worth considering but I would definitely recommend trying before you buy.

Gets the job done

By Tyer from Columbia, MO

Pros:

•inexpensive
•6 modes to choose from
•paint job looks great
•better than not having a reverb

Cons:
•most of the modes don't sound that great

•battery life isn't fantastic, and there's no battery door

•screws are tightened to 9,000 ft/lbs so you absolutely cannot change the battery unless you cut the pedal in half

Worthy Successor to the RV-3 Delay/Reverb...

By EM
Music Background: Performer and hobbyist for 25 years.

I originally purchased the RV-6 to use strictly as a reverb pedal, but now I am using the "+ Delay" setting exclusively. The reverb and delay are seamlessly paired together and make a nice ambient wash that sits behind what I play without being pretentious or overstated. The reverb modes in this unit are excellent as well, and tone control is very useful for getting the reverb to sit just right behind whatever is played. The RV-6 is a great tool, and is a worthy successor to the old RV-3 Delay/Reverb pedal (one of my all-time favorite Boss pedals, wish I still had it).

Reverb sounds beautifully, with it"s four knob controls to customize what you are wonting to hear works great. Integrates smoothly with my compression sustainer and delay / looper pedals. Lives up to the Boss name good quality product worth the price.

Exactly What I Needed

By Brad from New York
Music Background: Music composer. Home studio recording.

I have a keyboard synthesizer which has a reverb effect. I was looking for an external reverb that would have more range than what came with my synth. Needless to say, there are so many choices varying in price. After listening to a comparison video between the RV-6 and the Strymon Blue Sky, they both sounded good. With the RV-6 selling for half the price of Blue Sky, my decision was made. The RV-6 has plenty of reverb selections. I am very satisfied using just a few of them. The RV-6 has been a great enhancement to my synthesizer.

Inspiring little pedal

By Neal W. from Oil City, PA
Music Background: Rock star in my basement...

Loosing interest? Hitting a wall? It happens, and after 50 years of playing, it has hit hard lately. Got this sweet little pedal from Andy Miller (he's the best no matter what you other folks say, so bite it!) Plug this in with an acoustic and a capo and hit the "shimmer" and you will find hours of ideas and moods that will pull you out of a funk. If you don't have a funk, all the better. Granted, there are a ton of great reverb sounds in this tool, but when I heard an electric guitarist playing solo with a looper and he did volume swells with this, I knew I had to have one. It is simply inspiring. I don't play out live much anymore, but the amount of joy I get playing music with it at home is worth it all. (Eric Brewer from Erie, Pa is the guitarist I heard use this with an electric PRS, and he is worth checking out on the video sites) This could easily substitute for a pedal that does some orchestrations when in the shimmer mode. In addition, it is stereo/mono and has many more features. All I can say is, is that this is a sweet pedal and worth twice as much. And again, my rep, Andy Miller is way better than your rep! Thanks Andy and Sweetwater and Boss!

Fantastic Pedal

By Eric G. from New Jersey

When I first received this pedal, I was somewhat undecided as to whether I liked it or not, but after playing around with it for a while, I have grown to love it. I use it for solid body guitar and bass, acoustic-electric and nylon string. My original motivation was to buy it for the bass, as my amp and 4-10 cabinet which sounds good without any pedals, needed some headroom, which is the purpose of reverb, to compensate for the limmitations of an acoustically flat environment.
The Reverb works well with all my guitars and a variety of amps, I especially love it paired with my Cordoba Orchestra Fusion ( also purchased from Sweetwater-Thanks Nick) which I absolutely love. Paired with the RV6, the immensity of the depth of space makes the guitar sound like I am playing in an acoustically engineered cathedral, reverberating in eternity.

Rock Solid and Dependable

By Jonathan D. from Saint Paul, MN

Ok. I have now owned this for almost a year, so I am ready to write honestly and without writing from the honeymoon period of using this.

Bottom line: This thing is rock solid, dependable, and packs sound way above its price.

I have not tried...the expression pedal input or stereo inputs.

I really love...shimer, mod and +delay features are really rich and complex. The spring and room settings are where I stay for good old reverb. This plays very well with other effects and with the reverb in your amp as an extra depth of reverb.

This makes my 67 Bassman sound about as rich and full as you would imagine. It sounds like they were made for each other.

There may be better reverbs with a lot of options...but not at this price.

Durability - It is a Boss pedal. Your kids will use it after you are dead.

Solid Work Horse!

By elen b.

This is a really great solid work horse. Uncomplicated, uncomplaining, versatile, plays nice with other pedals and different amps. It offers just about any basic reverb you might need and is very user friendly. Does it part the red sea and render you enlightened - no, but it does what it is supposed to without crankiness and BS. Clearly, whoever designed it is a player. I also like the way it is laid out and marked. I recommend it.

Boss RV-6 Digital Reverb Pedal

By Dave from San Francisco Bay Area

I wasn't getting quite the tone and reverb I was hoping for out of my Peavey Bandit 112. It was close, but not exactly. All else with the Bandit was working as advertised and meeting my expectations. I wanted to find a way to round it out to the desired sound. The Boss RV-6 did the job. I run the RV-6 through the effects loop; the pedal delivers a variety of reverb sounds including Spring, Hall, Modulation, Reverb with Delay, and others. I dial it in for overall warmer tone and wetter reverb and it does what I want it to do. I'm thoroughly enjoying this pedal.

Pretty good pedal

By Steve from Charlotte
Music Background: Lifelong amateur

Bought this to sweeten the sound of my little practice amp, which has no on-board effects. It sounds nice and offers a broad range of adjustments. However, if If I power it with an AC Adapter, I get an annoying hum. If I leave the guitar cord plugged in it kills the battery, even if not turned on. What"s up with that?

By Lee M. from Aiea, Hawaii

This pedal is just what I needed. I'm a jazz player and really don't need a far away, shimmering type of reverb. I just wanted something fat and subtle, and this is what this pedal delivers I had tried other pedals but just couldn't find the sound I wanted, until my guy Greg Savino at Sweetwater recommended this. It's just perfect.

I was looking for a simple reverb pedal/delay and was hoping to find the delay in this unit to be able to dial in a subtle slapback type with delay + setting verb...the unit gives a very descent performance...not ultimately adjustable but...sitting at home will never be able to duplicate a live situation...so I might be able to bump up once live....as for hall reverb...clean deep verb...as good/pro sounding as I have ever heard...I do have strymons as well...but this will plop on top of my maz 18 nr...with battery option...kool unit and

Classic true sounding spring reverb plus......!

By Robert from NYC
Music Background: 56 years of Rock and Blues.

I have changed the AC type plugs and wires to the spring reverb unit one too many times in my old tube Bandmaster Reverb (same amp as a super reverb). I have always had trouble with these old connections. Not anymore!
The Boss Reverb RV-6 is exemplary in recreating the original sound of a spring reverb. It has several other reverb enhancement functions that add studio quality dimensions that are truly remarkable. As a bonus it also has a superior delay/echo function which eliminates needing my old Boss delay pedal which always seems to break up at high-volume and settings.
I highly recommend this unit for guitarists that have had the same problem or those who wish to enhance the reverb experience to a superior level. PS I left the old vibrato plug intact as it works fine and never seems to fail like the reverb plug/wire does.

BOSS Reverb - What's Not To Like?

By Michael from Texas
Music Background: 40+ years playing rock and roll!

OK - I know most amps today come with reverb, so why buy a reverb pedal? Well, this little BOSS pedal really does generate a GREAT reverb sound! I use it to supplement the reverb effect in my Deluxe Reverb amp, as well as, in a Fender Super Champ XE. I found the Super Champ effect controls limit somewhat the player's use of reverb, so this pedal allows me to select the specific type of reverb mode I want whatever other effect I select with the Super Champ. And having this in my pedal board line allows me to supplement the reverb effect I want and provides reverb if I just happen to be using an amp that doesn't have its own "on board" spring or analog reverb. This is just a wonderful sounding unit with its 8 reverb modes (each one very distinct) plus the capability to run it in a stereo mode. What's not to like?

Pro sound in a small package.

By Robert from Cincinnati, Oh

I’m a solo acoustic player who’d been looking for an ambient effect with a lot of versatility. I’ve been impressed in recent years with a lot of function in small packages. Prior to acquiring this pedal, I also had an analog stereo chorus and a Boss delay. Combined with a simple reverb and chorus in my amp, I was otherwise satisfied with my setup. I just felt that there was a stone yet to be overturned. This item far exceeded that expectation.

This is an effect that is better experienced in person than explained. In fact, I wouldn’t even call it an effect. Instead, its multiple effects built around the central concept of reverb. Although I’ve always known that “reverb” can have multiple voices, I’ve never felt more convinced of that since acquiring this. I was sold the moment I heard someone run through the presets with an acoustic guitar. There are a couple of similar items on the market, but this is by far my favorite, especially for acoustic.

Every one of the presets are very unique and useable in the real world. It has been quite inspirational. The tails, octaves, and overtones on a couple of presets have forced me to slow down and pay much more attention to timing. Especially as a solo player, this pedal fills in a lot of gaps. None of the presets sound the slightest bit cheesy or amateurish. They sound as good or better than many top end rack mounted units I’ve encountered. This will take you from subtle tone enhancing reverb, all the way to head turning and beautiful special effect tonal color.

I would especially recommend it to keep things simple because of finances or just convenience. You can actually cover 3 of the major bases for acoustic effects with this. You not only have reverb, but also with delay, and even some sounds that can mimic chorus with its own unique flair. Now in all fairness, I don’t see it as a replacement for my delay or chorus pedals. There’s versatility with a dedicated delay and chorus that I couldn’t achieve with this. That said, it works great for adding that dash of delay with reverb that sounds great for general tone enhancement when playing acoustic, or even dramatic special effect delay. Reviews for pedals tend to be largely biased toward electric guitars. I can say with enthusiasm that this item is very nice for acoustics.

Although I wouldn’t trash my other pedals since acquiring this, I'd highly recommend it for someone with conservative needs. If I needed to play out and was limited to only one pedal for acoustic, this would be my absolute first choice. This pedal is no toy and very professional for the price. It will raise eyebrows and leaves me quite happy. You can run it in stereo, use it with more than one instrument at once, and even use an accessory expression pedal if you desire. I’ve not felt drawn to an expression pedal, but it’s nice to have the option. Technology is always changing. There may be something even nicer in a year or two. For now however, I can’t say enough about this item. Combined with the usual Boss durability and dependability, you really can’t go wrong. I would highly recommend this, especially for a solo acoustic player.

Boss RV-6

By Gordon &. from Western New York

Tested this pedal plugged into the send and return of my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe using the pedal's spring setting vs. the Deluxe's reverb tank. With the pedal tweeked right and switching back and forth I could not tell the difference. Very impressive. I bought this RV-6 for use with my Fender Hot Rod Pro Junior after trying the TC Electronics Hall Of Fame and not being satisfied with the HOF. My only complaint with the RV-6 is that the different modes have different effect levels that need to be adjusted when changing modes. But with all the possibilities for adjustment and routing for stereo effects or multiple amps, I cannot think of another pedal that would do what I need it to do. Ordered on Wednesday night, delivered on Saturday. Thanks to James Masterson at Sweetwater. Also my wife liked the candy. Thanks again.

Amazing Reverb Sounds!

By Matt P. from Mobile, AL

Wow, every reverb machine in this pedal sounds great! The modulate is especially lush sounding. I like how each reverb machine responds in a different way when adjusting the tone knob. Very helpful.
One thing I'm looking forward to is getting this modded by JHS to be able to have 2 reverbs footswitchable. Regardless, you can't go wrong at this price!

Reverb Heaven

By Vicente T. from New York, NY
Music Background: Audio Engineer, Musician

I've been looking for a good reverb pedal.
There are so many. From low priced to very expensive.
I had my eye on the 'Hall of Fame' for awhile, but when I heard the RV6 I was definitely blown away. The presets are perfect for my needs. My favorites are Modulate, Hall, and Shimmer. I already have a DD7, but it's nice that a delay preset was added. So it's like a reverb and delay pedal in one.
The only other reverb that has truly caught my attention, where I will also be buying it, it the 'Seraphim' by Neunaber. Nothing wrong with having more than one reverb pedal. That's the fun thing about pedals. Experimentation ;)
But anyway...All in all the RV6 will not disappoint :D Buy one today.

Btw...I bought a "DEMO" version of this from Sweetwater, through eBay. Thanks guys ;)

Versatile little box!

By Cyrus from CA
Music Background: Full Time/Touring Musician

I've had this thing on my board since summer and now my delay pedal is feeling neglected!

My typical setup is based around a sansamp-type preamp which I usually go direct with. It sounds great, but it's a bit flat with no built-in verb, so I needed a solution. I tried out the boss '63 Fender reverb, but it was a bit splashy for my style. (Fabulous pedal though, if you're in to that vibe!) I picked this up right upon release and I've loved playing with it!

The modulated, dynamic, and shimmer settings are my favorite; they're all pretty unique and inspiring and I switch between the three pretty frequently.

I'm full time in my band, which usually means a tight budget and the need for reliable equipment, and boss delivers on both fronts as always here!

Stunning, Spacious and Gorgeous!

By Matthew S. from Sherman, TX

First I'd like to thank Carson McClain for putting this brand new pedal in my hands! I had one on Pre-Order and he shipped it the day they came from Boss!

The Build: just like any other Boss pedal the build is like a tank.

The look: the new black/Silver finish is really sharp looking with a hint of speckle in the paint. It also has a very nice sheen to the finish. Nice indeed.

The Sound: Wow!! Here is where it really shines! Similar to the RV-5 the New RV-6 has Modular, Spring, Plate, Hall and Room. The new settings of +Delay, Shimmer, and Dynamic are rich, full, clean, clear, and beautiful to the ear. shimmer is especially interesting when using the tone knob. If the Lund is to bright on the shimmer repeat you can lower its pitch to really set nice in the mix. +Delay works great for those that don't have a delay pedal at all. It would serve you well. Dynamic is interesting in how it reacts to you level of playing. Seems to sustain less when softer and ring out longer when played louder.

The In & Outs: Stereo In and Stereo Out with Exp pedal Input.

The Verdict: Absolutely my favorite Boss pedal in my line up and I have a few. ;)

Thanks Carson, Sweetwater and Boss for and all around great experience!

Play on...!
