Works where Acacia Audio equivalent wouldn’t,

By Steven D. from Livermore, CA

I got an Acacia Audio LIZ-HW and it worked okay with a WL-185 and a WL-93, but didn't with the CVL-TQG. This adapter worked with all three. Spend the extra $ and get the Shure one.

Works well

By Aidan B. from YPSILANTI, MI

Used to convert a replaced SM93 into a brass instrument pickup - worked fine, and I had a very pleasant experience with Sweetwater.

By Dave from N.H. U.S.A.
Music Background: Acoustic Player/Singer 60’s/70’s

This preamp works nice with SM35 headset microphone, and easy to use, just clip onto pocket or belt and get sing'n! Highly recommend this pairing.

Pricey, But Worth It to Buy Shure

By Sweetwater Customer

I originally purchased (4) 'knock-off' in-line mic pre's from a large online retailer since they were half the price of the Shure variant. My goal was to be able to use our wireless instrument mics purchased for marching band in a static, wired setting as well, for jazz and pit orchestra applications.

We got through one musical season with the cheaper mic pre's, but the signal was noisy and we were maxing out the gain on our board to get a usable level. I bought (1) of these Shure pre's to compare it, and it blew the generic ones out of the water.

If you're in need of running a TA4F connector into an XLR, I would highly recommend this preamp. The only thing that would make it better is if it was cheaper, but for the quality and strength of signal you get with this I can't complain.

Economic & Quality Sound In A Very Portable Package

By Diann from Michigan
Music Background: Drummer/Vocals in a Classic 70's Rock cover band

This pre-amp works great with the Shure SM35 Headworn Microphone. This pre-amp plugs easily into the Microphone Cable as well. As a drummer, I clip this on the back of my belt connecting my headset with the mic cable, and I'm ready to sing. It's very easy to use and so light I hardly feel it when it's on me.

Also, the purchase price is very economical compared to the expense of a wireless system.

Wanted to use a shure headset but needed to plug into my acoustic singer from boss. This allowed me to wire direct into the unit and wirks great. That and its cheeper then a wireless system.
