Great Tone Made Affordable

The PST7 series is the result of Paiste's continued development of materials and production techniques - giving you the sound and quality you're used to from Paiste cymbals at an affordable price. Made using the same CuSn8 Bronze (aka 2002 Bronze) base that their famous 2002 series is comprised of, these cymbals work great in a wide variety of musical settings to keep your kit's sound as versatile as you need it to be. The sound is brilliant and clear, warm and strong, with powerful projection. Sweetwater's drum experts will tell you the quickest way to freshen up your drum sound is with new cymbals, and Paiste makes that easy with the PST7 series.

Paiste - a tradition of innovation

Paiste meets the creative needs of drummers and percussionists with innovative cymbals, gongs, and bronze percussion instruments. Founded at the beginning of the 20th Century, Paiste lays claim to a number of cymbal firsts, including the first use of 8% bronze, the wavy-edged hi-hat bottom cymbal, the bell-less flat ride, unlathed hammered cymbals, color-coated cymbals, China cymbals with a downturned edge, and the invention of their Signature Bronze Alloy. World-class drummers such as Bill Bruford, Stewart Copeland, and Vinnie Colaiuta have long relied on Paiste cymbals to forge their signature sounds - and so can you!

Paiste's PST7 14" hi-hats are bright, strong, and brilliant with a medium wide range, and clean mix. Clear, piercing chick sound that's powerful enough for rock and metal.

Paiste's PST7 20" ride cymbal is bright, warm, and distinct with a medium wide range, and clean mix. The defined ping and clean wash and clear, strong bell sound make this a versatile enough ride to use for a variety of musical styles.

Reviews

Great Service
Great product, wonderful group of people.
Music background: Drummer
Ridiculously good
I seriously can't believe how good these sound at this price point. Almost identical to their 2002 siblings. Nothing in this price range even gets close to touching these things. A nice warm and washy hum. Absolutely no harshness.
Music background: Lifetime musician, hobbyist audio engineer
Best cymbals I've played
Over the years I've owned various professional line Zildjians. As the cymbals began to break I started considering replacements. I had read some really good reviews on Paiste products but the drum shops in my hometown don't carry this brand. So I decided to take a gamble and order a set of PST 7's. I have absolutely no regrets! These cymbals are amazing and easy to record. For the price I was blown away by how easy I could set up 4 mics and get a really good balanced sound.
great bang for the buck!
Great quality, great appearance, and overall great sound!
Pros:
1) 20" Medium Ride sounds very good, nice bell and warm, clear tone.
2)14" Medium Hats sound very nice, with great "Chick" and tight response without being harsh on the high end or too dark.
3) Very nice cosmetic appearance, looks very similar to the 2002 line.
Cons:
1) 16" Medium crash sounds good, but doesn't match the sound quality of the ride and hats. Doesn't sound bad at all, but does leave a little to be desired on the "crispness" one would expect from a 16" crash.
2) Doesn't come with a cymbal bag....I mean come on?!

Overall, this set competes with sets costing much more without sacrificing quality. If Paiste put together a PST 7 Fusion set option, with light/medium mix, it would be a homerun IMO.
Music background: 32+ years touring, sessions. Country, Christian, Blues and Zydeco
