Really enjoying using this product! WesAudio integrated a solid analogue product with an attractive, easy digital interface that makes working with the ng76 a breeze. I love how versatile it is with the different transformer settings, along with a mix knob for getting a little parallel action while tracking. Big thanks to Curt Meyerowich for all of the guidance and assurances during the past few years as a Sweetwater customer.

You'll find several video reviews of this box on the 'tube and the raves are real; this box does not disappoint. The plugin control and recall is worth the price in itself. Redoing a take? Open the session this compressor recalls its settings, hours, days, weeks, or years later. Personally I like writing automation with the plugin so the compressor's controls change as needed. Chorus needs more punch? Write in increased "drive" or saturation as the song progresses. Pretty cool. And it sounds deadly. As the Irish would say, "savage, mate." And Aussies would say something with long weird cool vowel sounds, which makes me jealous.
We have several 1176 style boxes here at our studios, including vintage 1176 rev D, etc, Slate Pro Dragon (also a beast), Warm Audio, Black Lion, as well as other FET comps by Chandler, Daking, IGS, JLM, etc, so we have a wide palatte of colors for FET comparison. The WesAudio ng76 is very, very versatile and sounds brilliant. The options are insanely useful. We also rather enjoy using this box in series before another compressor with the "1176 going into a tube compressor trick" with the ng76 controlling peaks before going into a tube compressor for gooey glue and and color (presently our fav is the WesAudio feeding a Locomotive Audio opto comp, the controls of which we can leave untouched and just use the plugin control output of the ng76 to drive the input threshold as desired. Fun!) If I had to have one desert island FET compressor the WesAudio ng76 would be my obvious choice, without a doubt. Thanks to our rep Jeffrey Green for being so generally awesome and helpful in all our gear considerations. He is indeed the man. And give the WesAudio ng76 a look. Highly recommended.
