Lehle Little Dual II Amp Switcher Reviews

A/B/Y Box and Amp Switcher with Transformer-isolated Signal Paths and TRS/TS Operation

Guitarists loved the original Little Dual so much that Lehle of Germany went straight to work making improvements for its successor. Introducing the Lehle Little Dual II: an even-more-capable compact amp switcher and A/B/Y box that’s perfect for splitting or combining incoming instrument signals — be it guitar, bass, or keyboard instrument — for dual-mono or stereo operations. Just like the original, the Little Dual II gives you lightning-fast relay switching with no signal loss, plus active noise suppression to eliminate pops and hum. Modifications for version two — including updated soft-touch footswitches, switchable TRS/TS operation, and sleek recessed LEDs and screw surrounds — make the latest Little Dual one of the most streamlined switchers on the market.

LEHLE Little Dual II

Consumer Review: LEHLE Little Dual II — Premium Price, Poor Performance

I purchased the LEHLE Little Dual II expecting a premium, high‑end ABY solution. For the price, I assumed I was getting the most reliable, noise‑free switching available. Instead, this unit delivered the opposite.

In a basic test setup, I routed my piano into Input A, sending Output A to Channel 1 of Studio One Pro 7 and Output B to Channel 2 for separate EQ paths. The result was severe distortion—not subtle noise, but a completely unusable signal. To rule out user error, I repeated the test with a guitar. Same routing, same distortion.

At that point it was clear: this wasn't a wiring mistake. The box simply failed to pass a clean signal under the most basic conditions. For a device at this price point, that's unacceptable.

I returned it immediately and replaced it with a Fender ABY box. That cheaper unit worked perfectly on the first try—clean signal, no distortion, no hassle.

Bottom line: The LEHLE Little Dual II carries a premium price tag, but in my experience, it did not deliver premium performance. I cannot recommend it to consumers expecting reliability from a high‑cost ABY switcher.

ABY baby!

By David M. from Olympia, WA
Music Background: Eternal student

I just took the step to ABY and be able practice and gig using two amps. The Lehle switch allows me to configure a wet/dry rig. I can switch between amps - one or the other for practice. This allows different affects, optimally configured, so I'm pushing the power amp or preamp with the drive, time based and modulated effects as appropriate. It's a very cool sonic upgrade. The Lehle makes it easy and straight forward eliminating any hum, phase or polarity mismatches. Deluxe!

Quiet and efficient.

By Ray M. from MA

I don't usually write reviews, but I thought this was an exception.

Just bought the Lehle Little Dual A/B switcher and it solved my problems setting up a Wet/Dry rig. I bought a different A/B box a while ago, and it kept getting progressively noisier and noisier. Very frustrating.

Did some research on this switcher. Checked out their website (https://www.lehle.com/en/lehle-little-dual-ii) and their tech videos. Really interesting. Has several operating modes as well as phase and ground switches.

Works great. Quiet. Simple but efficient interface. The A and B buttons makes it very easy to see which bank is on or off.
Highly recommended.

Many thanks to Sales Engineer Craig Mills for his professionalism and insights into guitar technology.

Great Product

By Vandon T. from Lebanon, PA

This thing works amazing. Perfect for running my EVH 6l6 and EVH el34 50 watts in tandem. I rarely ever play with just one amp anymore, the sound is spectacular. As always, great customer support and service with Alex, my rep at Sweetwater.

Sometimes pricey just does work better...

By Sweetwater Customer

I thought I might be a little nuts going high on something as apparently simple as a switch like this, but so far I'm not at all sorry I spent the extra money. Built like a tank and clean as you please. And sometimes clean is the only way. The jack panel is a little claustrophobic and the labels hard to read, but then it's out of sight out of mind when it's done, except for the parts you really need to see. And it's kind of smart when you kick the same button twice by mistake, too.

I can't live without my stereo

By Sweetwater C.

This is a way to split your signal into two amps or other outputs. Why should you spent almost $ for something that does much the same job as a much cheaper ABY splitter or even the stereo outputs on a pedal? To be honest, you probably don't need this product, but then again, you don't need to play out of two amps either! It does have its benefits. Most importantly, it makes you safer from electric shock and other issues, especially if you regularly take your gear into venues or other situations with questionable electricity or grounding. You can eliminate the hum and phasing issues, endemic to bi-amping, that you didn't know you had. The sound of one of my amps moved from thin to full after engaging the phase button. Supposedly, this thing completely disconnects your signal - between instrument and amps, and between each amp, making it float through air somehow using magnets (How do they work?). Additionally, the ability to easily switch between one, the other, or both amps - not found on a lot of ABY switches and no stereo pedals - is a nice plus. You could do a million neat tricks with this option. For me, it helped increase the dynamics of songs, as I can play much quieter out of just one amp. The pedal's operation is smooth as silk, as you'd hopefully expect from this luxury item.

Perfect

By Coty from Clovis ca

This has got to be the most heavy duty pedal I own. Build quality is top notch. A/B Switching buttons are like butter. Phase reverse and ground lift are included and a must for me. LED are super bright. I bought this because through a lot of research it appeared to be the best in its class for what I needed. I'm not disappointed at all.

LehLe Little Dual

By Richard M. from Troy, MI
Music Background: Rock ninja!

The pedal is really well designed and has a VERY solid build... however, depending on your electrical situation, the combination of a phase reversal switch, and ground lift may not rid you of all the noise that running two amps sometimes induces. It didn't work for me,(really wish it had) but another may have better results. It did eliminate a lot of the noise, but the remaining noise was still too much for me.

As always, my Sweetwater rep had my back... These guys are the absolute best!
