I bought this stand to replace the x-style stand I originally bought with my Roland FP-30x. This stand is easy to assemble and I appreciate that it attaches directly to the piano for added stability. It looks like a piece of furniture in my room and is way more visually pleasing than the x-style. There's plenty of room for my legs when I sit, which is also a big improvement. New to piano. Purchased the following:

4. Roland RPB-100 Piano Bench - Contemporary Black

Absolutely satisfied. Arrived on time. Assembled in minutes. Solid feel. Looks great. I'm so glad I went with Sweetwater for this purchase instead of rolling the dice elsewhere.

Mostly this is fine. it does the job. it's very stable - and does what I really need it to do - which is that it allows me to sit at the keyboard, ie, with space for my knees to go under the keyboard. X stands really don't allow that. I like that some of the screw connections are machine screws, ie, not screwing wood screws into particle board.
My only gripe, is that I think the instructions are incorrect re: the direction/placement of the top spanning board. there is a direction to it, and the illustrations seem incorrect to me. This is not Sweetwater's fault - it's the Roland manual that is wrong. I figured out the correct orientation by closely examining the photos of the stand on the Sweetwater site.

Highly recommend this stand over the basic bundle stand (unless you're gigging). It elevates the look but also the keyboard won't shift at all. Very solid no notes.

It's not meant to be moved around though so if you're moving a piano around maybe get the basic stand.

My KSC-70 Keyboard stand came super fast!

One of the hardest things to find is a stand for the tall Roland FP30 that sets the white key height to 28.5 in. In fact, that particular bit of information is not listed in the specs. My Sweetwater sales engineer (Jeff) made this purchase simple after I originally messed up by buying an X-stand where the key height was way too high.

Likes: looks good, fits perfect, not too difficult to assemble and of course, the PERFECT top-of-white-key height. It is designed for adding KPD-70, 3-pedal bar which completes the look and function.

The one caveat is this stand is pretty much a permanent/fixed solution. For me, just starting out I'm not going to any gigs anytime soon. Yes, it's not difficult to separate the keyboard and stand but you shouldn't expect to move it often. If you're looking for mobility, I recommend a Z-stand although my calculations say that might be slightly too tall.
