This is my first dive into the digital world. I'm am old-school stomp box guy and I have a full setup for my bass. I've had the Prime for almost a month. I'm still learning and there is A LOT to learn. There are a bunch of really good guitar patches preloaded. There are a couple that sound really thin. I'm taking nasally sounding. I'm not sure if it's my guitar and amp or if they're just weak sounding patches. I'm running it directly into the front of the amp. It's simple and works fine. I've tried it with my Kiesel 6 string bass and the bass specific patches sound ok. But they aren't replacing my bass effects board. The drum machine is a helpful tool for working out new parts. The only potential downside is the size. I knew it was a large board. It's the same size as my Temple Audio Duo 24. I'm not a gigging musician anymore so I don't care. If weight and space are an issue this isn't for you. That said the complaining about weight is overblown. It's lighter than my fully kitted out bass board. The touch screen makes manipulations easy. I like the UI since it looks like a stomp box signal chain. It's still new to me but as of now I'm impressed. Still lots to learn but I'm happy with the purchase.

I just want to start off saying that you can do a lot with this pedal board. I've only had it for about two weeks and I haven't got to mess around on it for a considerable amount of time, but it seems to be quite the total package. The only thing I'm not the happiest about at this point is that most of the pre-settings for guitar sound kind of weak in my opinion. However, the synth sounds are out of this world. Give me a few months and I will update on how I feel after I get a good handle on all the functions.

A bit of a learning curve going from an old DigiTech RP1000 to the prime. But it's definitely all that they say it is. It'll give back what you put in it. It's programmable, and adjustable in every way you would ever need it to be, and more for any and all scenarios. Only thing I don't like about it is the same problem all multi fx has, all of the volume settings are different from one rig and scene to another until you go in and set them all manually and save them at that level. Out of all the technology that goes into these new devices it looks like we could've solved this problem long ago. But I guess that's the part we'll never get right with any of them.

The Headrush Prime is a sophisticated unit with endless possibilities. As a bass player, I was reluctant to make the purchase as it seemed more geared towards guitar. However, I was wrong. It is absolutely amazing what it can do both when you create your own rigs or use one of their presets (#41 is my favorite). I get a smile on my face when I use / model the SVT amp and the fridge cabinet without having to move/carry 200 lbs of gear. It will take a while to fully understand the unit's complexity and flexibility but it will be on stage at my next gig. Also a shout out to Sweetwater's own Nick Church who has been assisting me for years. He is a remarkable professional and consultant. There is no reason to shop elsewhere.

I wanted to take the time and re-write my review after Sweetwater handled a dilemma I was having with a Headrush Prime Demo pedal I received. Their customer service level was, as we all know from Sweetwater, the best. I want to thank Job and all the folks that helped me rectify the situation. As far as the pedal is concerned? What a powerhouse! Beyond thrilled

I love having the Headrush added to my arsenal of gear over the years. I have the original version too and they both are great! I use them in conjunction with my tube heads. It's built like a tank too. As far as modelers go, it's excellent and sound quality is very good. On the programming side of things....this thing just can't be beat. It's so easy a caveman can do it without even opening a manual! I love that you can control and change all parameters on the fly with your footswitches and volume pedal. The looper is also brilliantly designed and easy to dub in and out or erase rifs all with just the touch of your foot.This thing just has so much to offer the musician who doesn't like the cumbersome programming of modelers or want to have to acquire a PHD in programming. It's an incredibly useful piece of gear to have in your bag of tricks and for those spur of the moment inspirations.

This thing is a lot of fun and has a lot of features. It does take some time to learn how to use it and to get things set up properly, but the fact that you can patch a microphone into it and do effects with that and even a bass shows it has a lot to offer. Pair it with the Headrush powered speaker cabinet and you dont need to lug your heavy stack with you to a show. I love that I can use the headrush version of the JCM 800 for my clean tones and A soldano 100 for when it needs to get loud. The only complaint I have is that it would be nice to see a larger range of effect pedals and amp heads on it, and to be able to use more in the chain. Maybe some better instructions, but overall this thing can get a lot done without breaking the bank, and your back

To me, the interface is very intuitive. Love the tones. Very flexible when configuring the rig or scenes. You can change effect presets as well as turning effects on/off.
I like that it doesn't need a computer to use it. The web-based editor is awesome.
The practice tool is amazing.

This thing competes with the Quad Cortex, AXeFx, and Fender modeler for half the price tag. The stock amps are fantastic, the pedals are expressive and sounds great, lots of EQs and signal path options and very versatile. If you're looking to leave your amps at home, this thing is a beast. Clones of your amps are faithful and accurate.

I started using the Headrush Prime the day it was released. I primarily use it for practice, silent stage applications and recording in to a DAW. Don't get caught up in the hype and all the bells and whistles of everything in the guitar world. The thing is on point. I own a Matchless and it rarely gets play time now that it has been captured into the headrush. I've used the model within the headrush to make it sound like my actual amp settings. The best part. Most modelers all sound the same this one doesn't sound like a models trying to be in the club of other modelers

I bought this to simplify my guitar rig. I play direct through the PA at a large venue that does setup and tear down church services. I am able to connect to Wi-Fi and never need to connect my unit to a computer to download on the fly patches. I also love the drag and drop simplicity and the ability to quickly adjust the master EQ. Nothing is perfect, but this unit is very close! With a little time, you can achieve some great tones.

Been playing a couple of years. Never been interested in single pedals and picked this up after having 2 smaller multi effects boards, safe to say unless this breaks I will never buy another board. The amount that you can do with this is insane, quality is great, all of the cabs and pedals sound good, having a bluetooth feature that can play music simultaneously while playing makes backing tracks a breeze, it is a seriously enjoyable experience when playing with this board. I've barely scratched the surface yet and i've owned it for a year but if you're contemplating on buying it, I highly recommend it.

*Bass/Bass VI Player* I've owned this HUGE unit for months now & almost returned it before truly giving it my full attention. Today, I love my HR Prime as a studio piece in connection with my other gear. Beautiful & well built unit that packs a punch once i discovered my tones. VERY USER FRIENDLY & CONVENIENT. The distortion pedals lacks diversity but a decent fuzz partnered improves the sound greatly. I've yet to clone or discover the cloud and look forward to uploading/downloading community tones. With recent updates (ie desktop editor) the future of this unit appears bright. I do hope Headush add/improve effects including ambient options.

This thing is great for what I do. I'm a worship leader who is a guitar player first, singer second. I'm a longtime Line6 HD500x user who's been eying the Helix for years but know I'd just be doing HD500x stuff in a fancier box. The Prime's ability to process vocals was the reason I made the jump to this board.

I almost always play/sing through a Behringer X32 board with compression and EQ built in. Vocally, I typically just use this for Autotune and a touch of reverb. On gigs where I'm going through a less sophisticated board, I use Prime's EQ and compression on the vocals as well and am satisfied with the results. If you want the one-man-band harmonies and other advanced vocal effects, you might do well to look elsewhere.

As a guitar processor this thing is fantastic. I have two main electric guitars that I play live, and I like to have a go-to rig for each one. It's possible to find good tones in most of the amp models that I care to use. (Buyer beware: I haven't touched the high gain stuff.) The Vox, Fender, and Matchless amps sound really good to me. The really cool thing is that I can clone the few tube amps I do own to my ear's satisfaction, and the revalver software that comes with the unit allows one to clone VST plug-ins. Supercloning (blending between multiple amps) is available with the latest firmware update.

Speaking of firmware updates, let me say that Headrush has done a fantastic job listening to their customers. My initial gripes with the unit have almost all been rectified with the last few updates. They've expanded options related to guitar/vocal signal chains within the unit, and have added routing options for the L/R XLR and 1/4" TRS outputs. It also now has a web-based computer/tablet editor for those of you who balk at poking at a 7" touchscreen.

My one remaining wish is that I'd like to be able to save tempos for delay-based effects per rig instead of having to tap them in at the beginning of each song or save the preset tempo in every hairy time based effect in the rig. I'm hoping a future firmware update will give me that option.

All in all, this unit has become exactly what I'd hoped it'd be. It processes my vocals nicely and cleans up my vocal pitch naturally. And it allows me to play my guitar expressively while providing quality effects that are reasonably easy to dial in. On certain gigs, the looper's been a big hit. There's definitely a learning curve, but if you've been around guitar processors or pro audio in general for a while, nothing here is too difficult. Great features and a good price. 5 stars.

I've been a previous owner of the Headrush Original board and was blown away by the sound, especially with the option for impulse responses. The Prime is just as good with a lot of good models;from amps, cabs, irs, distortion, etc. The sound is just as good as the original. And when connected correctly through to a PA outputs amazing quality sound. I've been able to closely dial into some of my favorite tones.

So many settings and options it could take years to learn all the things this pedal can do.
Lots of presets and tools adjust them.
Sounds fantastic out of the box!

This is a great modeling unit, packed with features, but the sound just isn't there, especially compared to its competitors. You will be better off with something like Tonex.

I bought this hoping to replace my aging TC Helicon VoiceLive 3. For the price I expected more from a vocal perspective. The AUTO harmony options don't follow the auto source and are limited to 4 part or high and low, otherwise you have chroma harmonies that you set key to. But again, they don't sound good and don't follow your chord changes well. The autotune is a nice feature, but not one I'm going to use much. I mainly play acoustic so I was happy with the acoustic sounds and also had a bit of fun with the bass, but overall, not worth keeping at this price tag, when I can buy the VoiceLive 3 Extreme.

This unit is amazing. I have cloned all of my floor pedals and placed them directly in the unit and on the cloud for other users. Nothing like having my Revival Drive directly on the Prime. It looks so good, the scribble scripts work perfectly, amp models are top notch. Glad to be a proud owner.

I had the previous HeadRush, which I also liked. I bought it because the local guitar store guy said he had students that had the Headrush as well as students who had the Helix. He thought the Headrush was much easier to use.

So when the Prime came out, I was impressed by the new wireless connection and the new vocal capability.

Well, I was blown away. So easy to update or download new rigs, the ease-of-use is the same, and the sound quality is phenomenal. I have a nice powerful classic tube amplifier that has tone for days but is kind of a one-trick pony in some regards, plus no way around needing quite a bit of volume for the 'sweet spot'.

The Prime can pretty much duplicate every amp out there, you can set up setlists, download different rigs from other users, record directly to a DAW with 4 simultaneous streams of left/right dry & left/right wet, etc. etc.

The only minor thing is that I haven't gotten a wah sound that I like. But there's an effects loop, so you can plug your existing pedals or pedalboard into it and use them as usual if you want.

I think you have to put some time into maxxing the capabilities, but once I did, I fell in love with this product.

I have been an early adopter of technology releases for the past 50 years...the Headrush Prime is the single greatest summation of studio sound quality for live and livestreaming ever produced! A joy to have lived long enough to experience this evolution of the Industry.

Well digital modelers have provided me with both access to amplifiers and effects I'll probably never own. I originally bought the Headrush frfr 112 as I have both a Helix floor and Quad Cortex. I thought this modeler might better suit the 112. I am amazed how intuitive and user friendly it is. I was able to upload some IRs I bought without cracking open a manual. The touch screen is really functional as well being able to move around pedals quickly and easily to find a sound is really convenient. In comparison with others though I wish there was an editor available, but this is certainly a Swiss Army knife with its features I haven't mentioned.

I love all the guitar options, but for someone who is used to the quality of TC Helicon, I was extremely disappointed. This piece of gear was talked so much my the SW staff... who 99% of the time are amazing... but I doubt they really understood how bad the vocal harmonies were on this. I'm keeping because I like all the guitar options, but unfortunately I can't skinny down my gear on stage as much as I wanted to. Still using my trusty Voicelive along with it. Headrush took a big swing and a miss with the whole vocal side of this pedal, and I who knows if they'll ever update it.

I've had my Headrush for several months now and I'm still pretty disappointed in it. It has soooooooo much potential but it fails in such a key feature. It just doesn't sound good! I play primarily metal, but I also go to clean, crunch and ambient stuff on occasion. Every gain preset I try, download or build, comes out sounding absolutely NASAL AF!! This thing seems to have one basic algorithm for distortion because everything kinda sounds the same, and it's all just squelchy mushy mid range nasal sounding crap! I've tried putting it in front of a few amps, through the loop input to utilize the power section of a few amps, through different cabs, into a clean Crown power amp and monitors... None of those setups sound good. Putting it into the fx loop input of a tube amp is the best thing I've tried, but it still isn't that good. My little Line6 PodGo CRUSHES this thing tone-wise.

It's such a shame because there are so many great features in this unit!! The interface is great. The in/out routing options are amazing. The fact that I can play a guitar through it, have a guy on harmonica (with a mic of course) AND a bluetooth backing track playing through it all at once, all while routing the separate output signals through appropriate supporting gear is unbelievable!! And yet... bad tone.

I have to give credit where credit is due, they made an amazingly powerful and versatile unit. It just doesn't sound good. I'll probably keep it to jam with friends because it does so much, but it'll never get recorded or played out.

I bought this over several other of the modelers because of the ability to run a mic through it. That's a great feature. It's also nice to be able to bluetooth backing tracks at the same time. Unfortunately I was initially very disappointed in the overall sound quality. The whole unit has a kind of thin nasal squelchy tone to it. Especially the "high gain" presets. I think they're trying so hard to get the modern gated metal sound that they went very overboard in the presets. I first ran this through the same exact signal path as my little Pod Go has been running and the Line 6 sounded WAY better. I tried a number of different solutions and came to the conclusion that this really needs to go through the effect in of a tube amp and through a decent cabinet. It didn't like "clean" power amps or full range monitors at all. (I did try a number of IR/Cab options)

Once I went in and started building my own sounds I was able to bring it back to my desk and run it through an interface like I had wanted. I still think that the Line 6 is easier to get good sounds with, but I'm warming up to this unit the more I use it. There is something about the inherent tone of this unit that remains so high-mid focused that it makes it sound fake. It can be compensated for with EQ but it takes a little while. Once dialed in it does sound good.

Overall I'm impressed. The build quality, features, and versatile routing options (ins and outs) are great. I just wish I didn't have to work so hard for tone.

I ordered the Headrush Prime and was very hopeful in what I was getting. After receiving it, I went through the unit and found some very nice things such as the Practice mode, the metronome and the thumb drive utility. But a lot of the effects didn't sound all that great to me. I didn't just give up and I did my best in trying to make them sound better, but the end result just wasn't all that I expected. In all, the Headrush Prime is a very impressive unit, especially for the price, but I can be a real stickler when it comes to getting that sound that I want. I had it for little over a week before I contacted my Sweetwater sales engineer, Brad Jahn and I explained the situation to him. We talked abut it and I ended up returning the Prime for the Line6 Helix. A bit more expensive, but what a difference. I won't go into the specifics of the Helix, as I'm sure I'll be asked to review that as well. Would I recommend the Headrush Prime to friends ? Sure I would. There is nothing wrong with this item, but I do wish they had taken a little more time in designing it. The only other negative I could pick out was the fact that you had to have that 3.5mm insertion point for the phones. I would much rather they had used a normal 1/4" input but, again, I will say that the Headrush Prime is still a pretty good unit and very easy to work with.

They got it right with the Prime, both in terms of capabilities, construction, and tones. It sounds great,noticeably better than the original. For the price it's a steal. The Prime Cloud is really nice too, so many amazing patches to download. It's built like a tank and does so much. Take the plunge on the Prime, you won't be disappointed.

I wasn't using my original pedalboard on my rig much so I sold it. Also have an MX5 on my recording that I use all the time - but decided to upgrade to Prime. Sound spectrum and quality was a huge improvement! Prime is whisper quiet (assuming you manage your power and grounding). I also had another signal processor that I use and decided to include that in my setup via Prime's stereo effects loop - that also works very well. Gave MX5 to my son but didn't want to lose my IRs and rigs and had no problem exporting to Prime. Programming is super easy and while it takes a little signal chain tweaking to get the sounds you want it comes pretty quick and easy! Haven't used the cloning functions yet, but watching the Anderton's youtube demo looks very easy - I do have some legacy pedals I need to clone. Besides all this, the wifi enablement of the Prime is huge!! No more connecting to computer for firmware upgrades - all done now over wifi. Also the Headrush cloud, where you can demo and download artist and user rigs and seupe is well worth the price of admission - this is the most future-proof piece of gear I have. Very happ with this!!!

I've had separate pedals for guitar amp sim stuff and vocals for years now. Never thought someone would make a device like this but I am so thankful Headrush has.

I've had the Pod HD, Pod Go, Helix Native, Amplitube 5 all the other Headrush boards for amp sims - while I prefer some of the layout/capabilities of the Pod Go a bit more than this (desktop editor, multiple purposed switches, etc) you can't deny the ease of setting up patches on the Headrush units. On the vocal side I've used a TC Helicon VoicePlay Live (2 times now), the individual TC Helicon vocal pedals and a Boss VE-20.

The guitar tones sound great to me, but I'm not particularly picky (usually just using an AC-15, Fender Twin-esq tone) - otherwise I'd probably be using a Kemper or Fractal. But that being said the Vox tones on this thing are probably my favorite I've heard of any amp sim I've used.

The reverbs on this thing beat pretty much any other multi effect I've used. Super rich, super deep, very impressive.

But the star of the show, to me, is the vocal capabilities. Now I'm primarily using compression, maybe some doubling, the pitch correction & reverbs but wow - I've never had a live unit come so close to producing near-studio quality vocal patches. Truly blown away.

I haven't used the amp cloning, I haven't had an amp worthy of cloning in some time but I am interested in trying it out with some friend's vintage amps.

I'd still love a desktop editor but its easy enough to set things up that it's not an absolute requirement.

This thing feels solid, takes very little time to dial in and sounds so great for vocals & guitar. I haven't tried bass yet but having used other Headrush units for bass tones I know its very capable.

TLDR : If you sing and play guitar and you want good effects options for both, especially a great pitch correction, nothing will touch this. I promise.

ive tries all the others - this is a grand slam because its like getting : kemper / helix / headrush and pedalboard - in one! i am 24 hrs into using it and ive already set up multiple settings and banks that i can now learn how to use the other features. All the mfrs putting out peds should stop , review this and understand that there will always be something one day thta may out do this.... but i dont see that for a a year or 2.

Great tones right out of the box and much easier to use than my Line 6 Stomp XL.

Long story short, I purchased the Headrush Prime about a month ago and I really like it. I personally think it sounds great but it depends how you use it. I originally had it plugged directly into a Fender Twin Reverb, although this is not the way. The twin reverb has no effects loop, and you definitely need to run it this way or through a FRFR cabinet. I ended up buying the Headrush FRFR-112 and it sounds absolutely incredible. Like night and day. I'm tempted to get a second speaker now!

Built in patches are kinda meh, but it's incredibly easy to make your own and the Headrush Cloud is an amazing built in option to share and download other users rigs. There has already been one decent firmware update, so hopefully this thing will continue to get even better.

After extensive testing, this thing is complete garbage.
Vocal harmonies don't track AT ALL. Like, not even close. And there is an audible click when you engage or disengage them. So the harmonies are totally useless.
And the looper, while packed with features nobody will EVER use like half speed, double speed and reverse, lacks the simple functionality to select WHAT TO LOOP. If I can't tell it to loop my guitar but not my vocals or vice versa, the looper is also totally useless.
The guitar tones are alright, I guess. I tried cloning three of my drive pedals. One was kind of close. The other two were not remotely in the ballpark. It does a reasonably passable Twin Reverb. The JCM800 patch is terrible. The AC30 patch is even worse.
I expected SO much more from a $1300 processor. I REALLY wanted this to be the unit that finally retired my TC Helicon Voicelive 3.
It isn't.

I bought this to reduce the amount of gear I take to a gig. Currently a Kemper Stage and a TC Helicon Voicelive for vocal effects. The Prime seemed like the solution.

The guitar sounds and effects sound great. I cloned my Marshall DSL 50 watt head and it's pretty close. There's enough effects power to do what I need.

The vocal side of the unit needed a bit more tweaking. The reverbs are really thick when you apply them to the vocal signal. I ended up with only using a mix of about 3% and that is plenty. Same with the delays when used with the vocals. The harmonies sound on par with the TC as long as you mix them correctly. (Same as with the TC).

Overall I think it will work out fine. Connstruction seems solid. The Kemper Stage has given me many issues in the few years I've had it and had to go in for repair several times even though I baby it. Hopefully I don't have that issue with the HeadRush.

the effects need working however I actually prefer this to my stage.i think in the longrun
this might actually come out on top the thing realy like is the scrn and graphics.the amps are not to bad at all.thanks to ryan watson for putting up w/shipping problems.

Pros-

VOCAlS- Way better than I hoped. The interface is game changing compared to other vocal processors. The Harmony scales with modes are amazing. Shocked that they aren't promoting this more. I was using Voice Live and/or Boss Ve 500 for vocals. I purchased this since I was not happy with either and they are getting old(this was budgeted for vocals). I must say this was worth the wait. The effects are superior to the Boss and Tc Helicon. The converters and preamps are debatable. But with usable sounds and ease of use this thing is way ahead. They should also make just a vocal unit with touch screen. Vocals FX pedals are a section of the market that seems to lack inspiration. Unlike guitar. If scientists had just fraction of the drive that guitar FX engineers had, global warming would be no more.

USER INTERFACE for effects-I prefer the touch screen interface to the computer for tweaking settings and it is nice to know I can adjust setting live. Just need to tweak your sounds on a stand. Tweaking isn't super in depth but it lends itself to be quick and agile. This is a master Cover Band pedal board no questions. You can tweak everything in seconds.

Guitar Tone – vastly superior to Headrush Pedal board. To me, it sounds like my Kemper. I prefer it to my Tonex Pedal. But still doesn't compare to a real tube amp as expected. The only models I use are the Revalver xxx and 6505. All others don't really do it for me. But the cloning is super easy and again sounds like my kemper. I cloned 10 of my synergy module preamps and they sound amazing. The Chug parameter is truly awesome. Something the Headrush original was sorely missing.



Cons-

Routing- so far I have found only two channels out (XLR and ¼), Both in stereo. I was hoping for more options but for me not that big of a deal.

Latency- Not as bad as an Ampero 2 but not as good as a HX Stomp. At least my perception. I haven't measured latency so they might not be that bad.

UI for cloud- would prefer a cloud browsing on computer. Not a show stopper but more detail would be nice before I download a rig.

Lack of effects-it has all the essentials but some sythns or ring mod would be nice. The effects it has are awesome but maybe I'm not seeing all of them.

All in all great product. For a lead singer/lead guitarist this is a no Brainer. Nothing comes close. The tech is really thought out and intuitive. I have only scratched the surface. If you are a tone purist stick with tube amps, otherwise this can sound just as good as a Quad, Kemper or Fractal. I really was scared I would have to send it back. Now I'm wondering if I need a backup.

I hated this out of the box. Not sure how the settings are arranged on other units out of stock. I had to tweak the input and especially noise gate in order to get the thing to work properly. Almost decided to send it back but from on line videos, it had to be a combo of settings. I don't really recall what I changed, mostly did it by ear. Anyway, I'm getting used to this. I do notice the low E string sounds "flabby" on higher gain settings. I use a strat with Fishman fluency pickups. All in all, I've barely scratched the surface. I do recommend. Sold a Quad Cortex and the Kemper and purchased this. Had extra cash left over as well! The foot switches on the Quad Cortex were way too close to each other. For me, trying to use that unit standing up and playing was disastrous. Kept hitting the wrong switch.

First, I should start by saying I have owned a Kemper Stage and currently own a Tonex Pedal and a Fractal Axe Fx III.
It really isn't fair to compare this with the Fractal since it does not do the capturing/profiling/cloning thing. If we compare only the modeling and Fx well, it still isn't really fair. The Fractal cost $ more and is really just in another league in modeling and fx sound quality, not to mention the deep diving abilities. Does the Fractal sound better? A very definitive...YES!
Ok, so how does it stack against the kemper? I think this is probably it's biggest competition along with the QC but I don't have one of those to compare. As for amp cloning, I find the Headrush Prime to be better in quality and easier to use. It also can clone pedals, something the Kemper could not do.

Here is a list of some other things the Headrush can do and the Kemper does not:
Add Fx in any order you want.
Use modeling amps.
Run two amps and cabs at a time.
Have a very modern and easy to use touch screen.
Ability to make some edits with just the footswitches while standing.
On board expression pedal.
I could keep going but will stop there and remind you, the Headrush is $500 cheaper.

The one thing the Kemper does have over the Headrush Prime is that it has a PC/Mac editor available. It would be very cool if Headrush add that in the future but even without an editor it is easier to use.

The biggest problem I had with the Kemper but do not have with the Headrush is the accuracy of capturing amp only DIs. The Kemper was so inconsistent (do the same amp and settings 10 times and get 10 different results). I even had an online discussion with the owner. Their answer: my problem was I needed to use their DI. I had tried 3 different manufacturer DIs all giving the same result: inconsistency. A DI is a DI, I don't need to buy theirs or at least I shouldn't have to do so. The Headrush Prime does not have that issue at all.

As for comparing with the Tonex Pedal: Again, not really a fair apples to apples comparison but just concerning the cloning ability, The Tonex may edge out the Headrush. I mean barely if even noticable to most users. As for time it takes to make the clone: no contest here, the Headrush is done within two minutes and the Tonex takes, lets just say a loooooong time.

In summary, I think for the price the Headrush Prime is a steal compared to the competition. If I were to suggest Headrush do anything to improve this product I would say: Since cliff Chase from Fractal is not available, find someone who can do amp modeling better than the eleven rack and revalver option. Maybe try hiring Mike Scuffham of S-gear?
