Gator Needs To Rethink This One

I bought this because Gator said it would be a universal case to fit all smaller controllers. I have a Pioneer DDJ-SB3. They said it " would hold your controller snugly". Well, they seem to be very incorrect. It came with 4 measly foam pads that supposedly fit on the underside of the moveable shelf so that when you slide it over your controller it hold it snug. They give you some extra rubber pads that have adhesive backs to cut and fill in gaps. There are no instructions on what setup they recommend for your controller ( not a huge deal but the problem is it"s not intuitive either). I spent an hour trying to figure out how to make things snug with what they give you. I gave up. I had all pads under my controller to raise it up and when I slid the top over my controller, there was still a 2 inch gap! Snug??? In addition, there was still a 2-3 inch gap from the back of the controller to the next rubber pad with no other adequate pads given to fill things in. In all, very very poor design and; frankly, that is surprising from Gator. At the least they needed to give double or triple the amount of foam/pads and let the buyer have plenty to work with...or just make one custom like they do with other models and Odyssey does for a cheaper price point
