Spring-loaded Capo for Steel-string Guitars - Black

The perfect capo for quick changes and all-around playing! G7th's sleek Nashville capo gives you perfect string pressure plus easy, one-handed operation. The spring-loaded Nashville capo pivots behind the neck instead of beside it, so playing is more comfortable with this capo in place. If you change keys, remove, or place the capo mid-song, then you'll love this clamp's super-quick action. While it's convenient and compact, Sweetwater guitarists use the Nashville capo for all types of steel-string instruments. Make the surprisingly affordable Nashville capo your go-to capo onstage, in the studio, or in the rehearsal room!

Best Capo

By Michael W. from Salt Lake
Music Background: Professional musician

Just received mine today. One strum and it was way better then the Dunlop capo I was using. Every string ringing loud and clear..
Very small so you have extra room for your left hand. I play a lot on cruise ship contracts so I'll be testing it long term soon.. Ill most likely get another one before my next contract. Highly recommend

Nashville Capo

By James from Colorado
Music Background: “I like to play” - Garth Algar

This is my favorite capo. For my 6 string acoustic it does not knock the guitar dramatically out of tune like I see other capos do. My new favorite discovery is how well it works with my 12 string. It's long enough where it holds all the strings down. It's also strong enough where I don't have the traditional muted treble string issue like I've experienced with other capos. On the 12 though it still has the traditional tuning stability issue but I have my ways of working around that. A pleasant surprise with how well it works my 12.

G7th engineers certainly know what they're doing.

By Ian M. from LANSDALE, PA
Music Background: Guitarist for 15 years

All the little things about other Nashville trigger capos that normally bug me (even when I can't figure out why), I just don't notice with this one. This company really seems to care about the physics of a well-working product, even in something as simple as a guitar capo.

My Go To Capo

By Carm V. from Fort Worth, Texas
Music Background: Professional musician playing guitars and bass since 1968

I've used them all, and this is the best quick change capo out there. It securely frets without altering the guitar tuning. I stopped using "K" capos because the spring tension changes with wear and between different capos causing unpredictable results. I stopped using "D" capos because of the trigger design and uneven results. I've been playing since 1968 and G7 is my favorite capo.

worth it

By Aaron G. from Fargo, ND
Music Background: studying guitar in college

worth the xtra $
made well and clamp is not so tight it doesn't pull the strings sharp. I have the silver and I assume the black works the same

intonation perfection

By Chris K. from Menasha, WI
Music Background: gigs

clamped and intonation is spot on first time. Much better capo and worth a few bucks more to have it in tune the first clamp. 5 stars

Precise placement!! Lighting quick!!!

By Jim S. from Colorado
Music Background: Intermediate player, Martin Enthusiast, Hobbyist

I was encountering a problem with exact placement of the capo on my Martin D-18. The D-18 , having a little wider neck , required me constantly tweaking the placement underneath the neck of the guitar, to get the precise spot so I would have no dead strings. After discussion with my Sweetwater Sales Engineering, Lindsey, recommended I give this capo a try and... SUCCESS!!! This capo is a perfect marriage with my guitar neck. I get precise placement in the blink-of-an-eye!! Super fast to just squeeze the spring loaded handle and move up and down the fretboard with great ease!!! Very impressed with the G7th Nashville capo!!! Also impressed with the great customer service here at Sweetwater!!! Thank you!!!
