Lehle Dual SGoS Amp Switcher Reviews

Dual Amplifier Switcher with Three Sets of Outputs (A, B, and Tuner)

Who doesn't want to go stereo? There's nothing like hearing your rig in full-blown, room-engulfing sonic glory. And with the Lehle Dual SGoS, it's easier than ever to take on two-fold stereo tone — while hanging onto either/or flexibility. Check out this high-quality dual amp switcher. Outputs A and B can feed your two favorite amps at the same time, and they're electrically isolated, so you won't deal with humming loops (thank you, transformer!). Lehle didn't leave you hanging, either. You can play through both outputs at once, using the onboard pots to perfect the balance. Want to get crazy with a third amp? There's even a third output onboard for your crazy tone hounds, although you'll also find it works nicely to feed your tuner.

Lehle dual SGOS

By Clayton H. from FLETCHER, NC

I had high expectations for this device. looks great. feels great. I run an ABC setup with a solid state amp on channel A, an amp simulator (simplifier) running through channel B, and a Tube amp on channel C. I use a Morley abc passive splitter now and wanted to upgrade. I have an active buffer and isolation transformer between the tube amp and the ABC pedal. When I plugged in the lEhle Dual there was a noticeable signal level drop on channel A output. I switched my channels around and still a signal level drop on channel A. no matter which amp I used. I plugged in just the ABC direct to my JC 120 solid state amp and the sound level drop still occurred when activating channel A. I'd get no sound with the ground switch pressed and weak sound with it up from channel A.

Channels B and T sound a bit colored, more low end? but they sound different then through my passive ABC. Channels B and T were ok and I would have kept it if it was just a bit of tone color, but the level drop from Channel A caused me to return it. I'm still bummed, I really like the look and feel of this thing and it fit great on my board.

The is the ABY to get

By Daniel C. from Pearl River, NY

Nothing but good things to say here. Buttons are sturdy and don't feel cheap, and works exactly as it should without coloring the tone.

Excellent ABY

By Sweetwater Customer from FL

The Lehle Dual SGoS does exactly what it's supposed to do with zero ground hum. It's well constructed, it looks good, and it doesn't color your signal. Save yourself the hassle and skip the budget ABY pedals if you plan to run a stereo rig. This pedal is well worth the extra bucks if you can swing it.

Instead of midi

By Mike S. from Fort Wayne
Music Background: Rock

I use this pedal out front on stage to control another Lehle pedal that sits a top my Soldano SLO . It's nice because it's simple to program and just takes 1/4 TRS to communicate with my other Lehle pedal. If I ever do run two amps it works nicely for that as well.
Sound quality is excellent if your a tone junky and play loud volume you'll appreciate the clarity and minimal noise nor loss of tone. Lehle product are 5 stars !! Look no further for quality switchers/ splitters and boost .
Thanks to Mitch Frazier at Sweetwater for the suggestion as well !

This thing doesn't just do it's job of switching between outputs, it also eliminates noise in your chain. Simply amazing!

Doesn't rob tone if you use it right

By Sweetwater Customer

The reviewer that says it robs tone is right....if you don't set it up right. I know because I did the same thing and noticed the signal drop and lose highs. Here's the thing, if you want to use the adjustable volume pots then plug your outputs into A and B. There will be a signal loss due to the pots being in the circuit. If you want your full signal with two amps then plug into outputs A and T. Reprogram the buttons as you like. Oh btw it still cancels hum because the transformer is only on output A. You can then use output B as a tuner if you need it. It seems so logical to plug into outputs A and B, but it steals from your signal.

OUTSTANDING AMP SWITCHER

By Yves D. from Lucerne, CA
Music Background: 50+ years guitar, bass and drums

Not cheap by any means, but well worth the price if you need absolutely quiet switching. That it can handle three amps at once is a huge bonus for me. It doesn't get better than this!

Fantastic SwitchBox with a LOT of options

By Marquam W. from Augusta, NJ

This thing is a beast! I needed a way to run stereo from my pedalboard to two electric guitar amps (Bogner Shiva and Blackface DR) with the ability to stereo or A/B them while at the same time running to an acoustic amp with a looping pedal in front of it. This thing does all of that and more. Eliminates about 85% of the hum when running both A & B amps in stereo. Also has a great option of setting the level of output A and B so you can balance a nice stereo tone. Not a sexy tone-monster pedal, but this is an excellent foundation for any multi-amp setup, regardless of instrument type. Very impressed with construction as well

2 or 3 amps!

By Robert S. from In the Great State of Texas
Music Background: Owner - Rough Wood Studio

We needed to split a guitar signal into distorted, left clean and a different right clean. A regular split doesn't work and a stereo pedal is noisy. With this we got complete isolation between the amps and dialed in the exact sound. The switching is quiet too. It's been a good studio tool for us.

Lehle Dual SGoS

By Sweetwater Customer

Not a good amp switcher because it changes your guitar's tone too much. And not in a good way either. Had one and sold it. I'm going to try the Radial Twin City next. Stay tuned...
