Outstanding outdoor speakers
I recently purchased a set of the JBL control 30 speaker to replace my Definitive AW6500's. I couldn't be more pleased. These sound outstanding, the sounds throws a very long distance. Awesome for large outdoor spaces. Only downfall maybe is they need a strong amp to really extract their full potential for the low frequencies. I would recommend matching them to an amp that is capable of producing RMS power at or near their peak power. This is a superb outdoor speaker for large outdoor areas and near pools.
Great pool speakers
I have had these for about 5 years. They are mounted to 4x4 posts which are part of the pool fence. Sonically, they sound as good as the day I got them, some of the best sounding speakers I have heard. I have the white finish, and it is showing some weather wear. I put them in the basement for the winter, but they have survived the summer seasons in full sun.
