Korg CM400 Contact Microphone - Black
Korg CM400 Contact Microphone - Black Reviews
The Korg CM400 contact microphone is intended for use with compatible Korg devices like the TM-70 tuner/metronome handheld combo. By mounting the microphone on your instrument and connecting to the tuner via a simple audio jack, Sweetwater musicians have found that the CM400 provides enhanced intonation accuracy for pitch-perfect adjustments before or during your gig.
Not as durable as the previous model
I am a middle school band director, and we recently bought a set of 10 Korg TM-70 tuners with the CM400 series microphone.
I love the transpose feature of the latest model of their tuner, but the microphone that comes with it is not that durable. We've had ours for a week, and it's already starting to show some wear. The metal 1/8 inch audio plug is fragile, and I'm worried we'll need to replace the microphones often for this reason. It's really a shame, too, as the tuner is a great product.
For now we simply need to remind students not to wrap the cord around the tuner as they put it away. This is easier said than done.
Korg needs an updated contact microphone model, and quickly.
