Following up my old comment
The other reviewer is correct. The "cross talk" on this headset makes it unusable. I get complaints from my friends that they can hear audio coming through my headphones.
Great Mic and Cable
I got this to be able to hook my Bluetooth headphones to my Xbox since it doesn't support Bluetooth natively. The microphone works great and is very clear. The cord is a nice braid and seems sturdy with strain reliefs at the mute/volume control box. Only issue was that the plastic connection was a smidge too thick to go into my headphone port, but a bit of sandpaper got it to slide right in.
Also the customer service was great! Several confirmation emails and even a phone call to confirm that this would fit my needs! Love this company now!
Just as good as V-Moda boom pro
I hope this review helps somebody because I didn't find any reviews written for it. If you're looking for a good mic to pair with a headset (i.e. philips 9500) just buy this one. For its cost it's unmatched. I ended up returning my V-Moda boom pro because this sounds just as good, if not better.
Unusable Headset
I really wanted to leave a good review for this product, the microphone is great, the build quality is great, the included windscreen is great, the cable length is great, but the headset is totally unusable.
The crux is that anything being played in your headphones is passed directly to the microphone input via something called "cross talk". This makes it rather infuriating to use, as people talking to you will get endless echoes, and your voice will be constantly drowned out by whatever other noise is happening on your device. If the manufacturer had simply put shielding around one of the cables to contain the signal, this would be one of the best headsets I've ever owned. As it is, it's extremely disappointing.
