Better than EZ Drummer 3?
I own both EZ Drummer 3 and Addictive Drums 2 and I like both. I use them both as standalone with my Roland TD 27 and honestly EZ Drummer 3 is better for me because the interface is just easier. I know AD2 has a few more features and customizations but the audio and midi mapping is just confusing and I dont do well with tech. I'm sure with a little more time with it I'll feel better about it. The drum sounds are awesome though, Toontracks could take a lesson from them on Cymbal and Snare sounds. Just my opinion.
Addictive Drums 2
Very easy to use and all the kit pieces sound stellar. You have many options with the ability to create your own kit from a variety of pieces listed in each drop down menu. The midi patterns included provide a great starting point and allow easy edits to tailor the patterns to fit your music creations.

I used to use EZ-Drummer and Superior Drummer.
Not bad mouthing Toontrack. And I still use their products.
I just think in my opinion as a song writer and studio engineer, Addictive Drums sit better in the mix.
After working on several different mixes and different types of music,the punch and dynamics of each drum kit comes through so well.
I would totally recommend Addictive Drums !

Excellent product
AD2 has so many sounds and beats it's almost overwhelming. But the flexibility of the tool combined with the online videos and the good customer service at XLN audio are top notch.
Highly recommend this product. Do yourself a favor and take some time to learn how to customize the kits and individual sounds. It's pretty much limitless.
