Perfect

Perfect addition, haven't added the two additions yet because of the little space I have, but will eventually! Was a pain to lug up the stairs, and even more of a pain putting together.

STRONG AWESOME PROFESSIONAL DESK!!!

This desk really awesome. Looks good, strong wood, for low price. I am very happy with it. Currently I have a 61 key Korg Krome in main desk. A 32 inch monitor, On the rack stand, I have a Presonus Studiolive 16 channel mixer. On the rack, I have the Korg Triton rack module, a Roland integra 7 module, a patchbay, and a conditioner. I recommend this desk.

Great desk system at a great price

Bought the 3 piece kit but wish I had studied a little more and bought 2 additional corner pieces with the additional order. Went back and ordered 2 more. They all fit together to create loads of surface work space along with the rack. Put a drawer, shelf and sliding shelf in the rack for stuff. Good quality kit, assembles easy and very sturdy for the home studio. Highly recommended. If it caught on fire, I would buy again :)

Larger than pics made it seem!

I ordered the Complete desk set with the 12u rack, corner extension, and the underdesk 2u rack. Haven't received the 12u yet, but SW said they'll send it soon.

The main desk really surprised me with the size, weight, and quality. The wood is heavy, thick, and very straight. It was far larger than the pictures made it seem, which was perfect for me. The metal frame is heavy, and the design is extremely sturdy. When put together, there is zero wobble to this desk. The mass of it probably helps with that.

The keyboard tray is far wider than I expected, and you could fit a short MIDI keyboard in there alongside a computer keyboard. My own MIDI keys were too tall to fit unfortunately, but is now tucked back on the main deskspace beneath the upper level surface and mini rack without infringing on any of the workspace. The tray does not wobble either.

The corner extension is a little disappointing. Although the parts are of the same good quality, you are expected to hand drill holes to mount the brackets that merge the desk spaces together. The metal brackets seemed flimsy, and I wasn't able to get the mating brackets to work as well as they should. My cornerpiece is a little wobbly and uneven now, but I imagine this would be way easier and far better if I had power tools. I hand drove all the wood screws and my whole body hurts xD I won't take a star off for it because it could very easily be my own incompetence to blame.

The undermounted rack has a crossbar for structural support that blocks access to rear I/O for one of the two slots, and that might be a problem for folks. I haven't used it to hold anything yet because my rack gear is very long and requires a large rack. Haven't been able to test it really.

All in all I'm very impressed with it, and I'm excited to have such a nice workspace for music production and general PC use. What could be better?

There is only just enough screws and bolts. There could definitely be some extras included in the event you misplaced one. You lose one and your build is ruined. The keyboard tray has only just enough of the special pieces you pop into the board to give the bolts something to bite into. I had one defective piece that wasn't machined properly and stripped the bolts on it. I had to overtighten the bolt heavily because there were no extras. The torque from that damaged the wood hole the peg was sitting in, but it was tolerable. Had there been any extra pieces, I doubt there would've been such an issue.

I'd recommend it to a friend for sure, but with a warning to be careful about misplacing any pieces, and to have an extra set of hands to move and position stuff because everything can be quite difficult to move around alone. In the case of the corner piece, you really should have an extra set of hands to hold it up while you drill it into place. You can't do both effectively, because you have to drill while underneath the desk. Still, the end result was worth the struggle :)
