I have tried to stick with other plug-in makers. The REQ and the Q Series EQ are the top two equalizers by any plugin maker and it keeps me in Waves Audio, purchasing updates for these two specific equalizers. Use the MS Matrix to equalize sides, and mid. If I had to choose any equalizer it would be the REQ, works with the NLS adding drive after the REQ. Works with the Aphex Exciter. The REQ has a great link that can't be topped.

Thre's a little of this and a little of that here, but all of it cohesive in function in design, and complementary in sound. I'm using this for mix and master and it's tremendous! The plugins are versatile and fast, although the analyzer displays could be a little more responsive to be honest, it's not bad at all, the meters on the plugins though are very responsive. Latencies are minimal and the sound is natural and musical no matter what plugin you are using. The presets are great, fun, and can save you lots of time with great starting points and even great one-click set it and forget it options. They offer multiple skins including Legacy, Dark and Light. Light is the one you see in the upper right of the uploaded picture, all others are set to dark.

The Dorrough meters are NOT included in this set, I bought them separately. However, they are also made available by Waves. The Dorrough meters from Waves are a godsend and amazing in every way just like the real hardware, giving you insights into your mix density at a glance as well as a great overs counter and indicator for phase/overs as well as a dedicated phase analyzer mode.

Great addition to my plugin library

Renaissance EQ and RenChannel makes attenuating problem frequencies and changing the tonal qualities of recordings easy, without making it sound too in-the-box (or surgical). More musical sounding filter curves and shelves than the stock PT and Logic Pro EQs. More gain reduction options in the channel strip plugin than in the standalone Rvox and Rcomp dynamic processors, with an added bonus of automatic release on both compression models. You can get subtle compression/expansion and extreme side chain compression.

The Axx compressor adds some great presence to overheads and guitars. Both the Axx and Vcomp work as upward compressors, raising the noise floor as well as overall output as you reduce the threshold level. I got this bundle on sale and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of depth the IR-L reverb plugin can add to my driest recordings. This bundle is a great value just from the combination of the Rchannel, Rverb, and IR-L plugins.

Serious tools for your serious in-the-box engineering tasks, from EQ to dynamics, from frequency enhancement to reverb, very affordable and very professional.
