Akai Professional MPC Key 37 Standalone MPC Production Keyboard Reviews
With the release of the MPC Key 61, Akai Professional combined their legendary MPC production platform with a keyboard workstation for the first time. The latest iteration packs the full scope of its multimodal sonic forces into a mobility-minded form factor. Enter: the MPC Key 37, an unrelenting fusion of iconic MPC beat crafting and a 37-key range of voltaic performance possibilities. Akai’s MPC changed music forever in the late ’80s once pop and hip-hop luminaries got their hands on it, and this MPC Key 37 features refined versions of MPC tools with additional pressure-sensitive velocity pads, polyphonic aftertouch, touch-sensitive Q-Link knobs, and much more. Use the MPC Key 37 as a standalone workstation; a controller/input for DAWs, MIDI devices, or hardware synths; a sampler; and almost anything else. The onboard LED display features a vivid, full-color 7-inch touchscreen, and the MPC’s 32GB onboard storage comes loaded with 10GB of preinstalled content ready for use right out of the box. Plus, it’s easy to expand the MPC’s storage, thanks to a built-in drive bay for solid-state or hard disk drives, a feature that Sweetwater’s groovebox enthusiasts are eager to embrace with the wealth of sonic tools instantly available for Akai’s versatile, plug-in-capable MPC architecture.

Just Getting Started
Let me start by saying that I a not a keys player by any means at all. I do have knowledge in music and I have a great ear, and I know what I like. Being a bass guitarist I enjoy being able to create layers of chord changes to solo to, have a drum machine, and to flip it all any way you want to. I had been looking to get a drum machine or an electronic set, and a keyboard. The cost alone would have taken me close to $ or more. In this machine I get more than I wanted, out of both areas. I'm lovin' it! It's a very wide learning curve especially if you're not familiar with keyboard/synth stuff and/or do not have any music production experience.YouTube has been very helpful. At the time of purchase there wasn't a bag/case
available specifically for the MPC Keys 37. ANALOG Cases now has a bag available specifically for it. Mine arrived yesterday and it's awesome! You'll definitely see other bags that the machine will fit in but it won't be an exact fit. I also found XTS stands on the same site that elevates and angles it at the perfect angle to be productive. They work for me. Here's the site: https://analogcases.com/products/sustain-sequential-take-5

Mpc key37
Love the mpc key37 all in one workstation does everything I need it to do definitely would recommend it to anyone who wants a mpc and a workstation in one and for anyone who wants to learn to play the keyboard and make beats plus it's compact they should have put the ssd in it with 4 gigs and memory card slot and up the price but I understand the marketing aspect good job AKAI now bring on the stems and make sure it's on point i understand taking your time to perfect the stems feature
