Very glad I bought it!
I highly recommend Launchkey for working with Ableton Live! I recently upgraded to this full size model and i'm very pleased!!! I love the playing action- I am quite sure it isn't like a real piano but for me it's great. The synthesizer keyboards are fine but this one is much more natural feeling. Launchkey integrates really well with Ableton and i'm just beginning to learn about all it can do.
Great versatile key controller
I have to say that I was quite surprised by this controller... It is very nicely laid out and usable. It is no grand piano but can be played expressively. Has a plastic housing but is yet very sturdy.
I purchased this device to be used as an old school midi controller to a Korg workstation that will provide all the sounds. I got sick and tired of damaging high end electric pianos and weighted controllers at outdoor gigs where exposure to the elements is inevitable...
The Launchkey 88 comes in at under $ and will fit the bill as a sacrificial lamb nicely. And as a big plus... this thing plays wonderfully for the job at hand. We tried many of the other sub $ 88 key controllers and were very disappointed, but after trying the Launchkey... what a relief... Great controller !!!
Met my expectations
I had been looking for a controller for a while, so when I heard about this, I figured it was a small risk. As it turns out, I really like this controller. I am a Cubase user and find that it is really good. This unit can do a lot and I'm just scratching the surface of what's possible, but I'm really happy with my purchase and believe it's a great value.
Just what I needed.
Finally a 88 key controller that meets all of my needs. Excellent with Cubase Pro 12. Greatly increases my work flow. The semi weighted keyboard works really well. Not too heavy and not too light of a touch. The remote features really help with the use of my external hardware. All of my work these days is in the studio and it is a great time saver. I highly recommend the Launchkey 88 Mk3.
Awesome keyboard controller!
I have had this for a while now and have had time to work with it. I am a Ableton Live 11 user and the Launchkey 88 MK3 integrates perfectly with Live 11. I am still learning all the in's and out's with this controller, but for the price you can't beat it. The feel of the keys are what would be expected from a semi-weighted keyboard. My Korg Pax4 is semi-weighted so I am used to the feel of the keys. If you are looking for a good controller that plays well with Ableton Live, then I would recommend looking into the Novation Launchkey 88 MK3. Very good bang for the buck with a lot of control!

Very nice
I've owned the Novation 49SL MKII for about 15 years. About 5 years ago Novation stop supporting that model. Shortly after the faders, knobs and buttons stopped working. Recently the keys started acting up so I was in search for a new controller. I looked at every model out there. Some where just too expensive for my needs and others were just too cheap. A few months ago I noticed Novation was coming out with this 88 key controller at a very good price. So I signed up to be notified when Sweetwater got a shipment. Well, I was notified and I ordered it promptly.
So far, good. It does everything straight out of the box for Logic Pro X. The only thing I wish I could do (and maybe I can), is to map the drum pads the way I want. Not sure if that's possible. There are two drum pad mappings and I will adapt, but I would really like to map them for the way I play.
Besides that, the keys are quiet, all the faders, knobs and transports work. I may never use all the features, but its nice to know they are there just in case I ever do need them. Great job Novation.
Great Controller !!!!!!!
It's a great controller with lots of applications for someone that stay most of the time in the studio....unfortunately it didn't work for me because of the Keys, I wish I could keep it to myself for recordings, but the budget doesn't allow me. I have to get a hammer Action.
