From Soft Vocals to Heavy Drums, the 195 Excels!
The Soundelux by Bock Audio 195 large-diaphragm FET microphone is practically two mics in one, as it lets you select between "fat" and "norm" modes for bass response tailoring, as well as providing a lo-cut switch. A unique variable pad allows the 195 to operate in even the highest SPL situations. This handmade premium microphone has great extended high and low frequency response, fantastic dynamic impact, and no typical FET mic high end "fizzle". If you need a no-compromise "go-to" mic that sounds amazing and won't break the bank, Sweetwater engineers never hesitate to recommend the Soundelux by Bock Audio 195!

Built with quality in mind
The 195 provides a pad (-15dB) and bass roll-off (10dB ) - further enhancing this microphone's extraordinary versatility. Component selection and construction reflect Bock Audio's dedication to lasting quality. The capsule uses a premium-quality 1-inch gold-sputtered diaphragm. The electronics package has no surface mount components. Instead, it incorporates Roderstein resistors, low ESR elecrolytic capacitors, polypropylene coupling capacitors and a unique FET circuit exhibiting remarkable low noise, low capacitance, and extended high frequency characteristics.
No FET fizzle
Ample headroom throughout prevents the FET "fizzle" plaguing other designs, while a massive output transformer maintains coherent signal integrity across the full audio bandwidth.
The "do-it-all" mic
For budget-conscious studios facing a wide range of demands, the 195 serves as a "do-it-all" premium condenser microphone. It delivers superb results on lead vocal tracks as well as in VO/ADR use, providing remarkable fullness and presence with exceptionally low background noise.
Handcrafted excellence
195 capsules are hand-picked by David Bock. Each capsule must meet his criteria or they are rejected. The other microphone parts in the assembly are all sourced locally in Los Angeles and hand assembled, one at a time, by David Bock himself in his production area in Los Angeles, CA.
